@stormydaycuddle It didn't happen overnight, lol, but when you know you have some good qualities you should think a lot of yourself. I believe in giving and taking credit where it's due. Sadly good self-esteem is hard to come by. I wish it were different, so much.
I'm thankful for supportive friends, being able pay my own way in life, and having a great relationship with my daughter.

I'm so, so grateful, and super excited for, my new day job for which I've just been hired 🥳 one year to the day since I had to go on disability, and after 8 months of job hunting and scraping by. I love cuddling and my other side gigs (and will continue to do them), but with my health I really need stability and medical benefits right now, so this job is truly going to be life changing. When I got the acceptance email I actually started crying in relief, which I almost never do!
I hope my good fortune can rub off on someone else who needs it! 🤗

@TxTom Your list is something I can get behind, especially since A/C is first. Sounds as if, like me, you are familiar with not always having a porcelain throne and some of the other cushy things in life, Lol.
@achetocuddle Yes, I've been to a few places without any of these things. Places with actual daily, life & death crises--not some creation of the imagination. Places where people would gladly give up their firstborn to get the f**k out of and be able to come here---a place where some folks I see can sit around comfortably at home on the internet all day and dump all over.
But luckily, thankfully, @achetocuddle these were only temporary visits for me. I knew I was leaving eventually. But I gained life-changing perspectives about the world, and our little corner of it.
So my little list of things I'm grateful for come from immense appreciation for the relatively peaceful life I have and the modern conveniences that I'm able to enjoy. I try not to take any of it for granted.

I am grateful for every day, every moment I am alive. On some days however, it is hard. Hard that he is not here with me anymore. That him lost without even having to say goodbye, and without even having to have told him how much I loved him just one more time. He were not just the love of my life, he also my best friend. As cliche as it sounds, he really was. He made me stronger, a better person, and yes, even more intelligent than I ever thought I would be

Even though the forums can be a train wreck sometimes, I made some memorable connections though here which would not have been possible otherwise.
I am also abundantly grateful for this website, its creators, the mods ( of course the mods! ) and everyone who brings love and light onto this platform! The connections I've made here and the growth I've had have been life changing. The positive effects of getting to cuddle safely and platonically pour over into all aspects of my life.
