@dontremember Wow...they used to not even allow dogs on the beach back in the day and now they have horses. Anything for money I guess. I once worked at The Crystal (40 years ago) and the VBPD used to hassle employees from businesses if they were in uniform and hanging out on Atlantic Avenue—appearances must be kept up for the NYC/Philly tourists. But they did start to change things after the Greek Week riots. Google 1989 Greek Week riots in Virginia Beach. The publicity back then scared the city badly. The riots were over things that were of no surprise to us back then.

Finally got the plow down our street!
@FunCartel I think dogs have to be on leashes. The horses have poop bags strapped on under their tails, and there's a guy on a 4-wheeler following along behind with a trash can. I think he's there to pick up anything that misses the bags, but possibly also to chase after runaways if a horse gets spooked by something.
