Heartbreak?

  • No but that may or may not be a good idea based on your personality and objective. If you cuddle with anyone here it is best to keep emotions out of it. Just enjoy getting your cuddle on without any expectations. If you and and some enthusiast hit it off and spend more time together that is up to you.

  • No. But cuddling wouldn't work for me if I was going through a breakup. I'd just need good movies/shows and chocolate and other snacks. Alone time basically. I rebuild from anything and everything that way.

    Yes :( I'm so sad and lonely right now. I'm just trying to cope and hoping to find someone to just be close to me and talk my ear off.

  • When I first joined a good while ago yes, I’d assume that most of us here would be here because of heartbreak / loneliness / or not having that affection from their partners or lack of … discovering the thread months after was amazing & it was genius having it part of the community.

    I didn't join due to heartbreak. I joined because I just needed to feel closeness to someone. That doesn't mean that heartbreak can't happen to a person after joining here though, so I guess it can change over time? While I agree that a cuddle might only be a bandaid for someone, does it really do any harm if they find someone willing to hold them for a while? I think I would find serious comfort in that. Either way, I know how therapeutic cuddling can be regardless of a persons circumstances. At least it is for me.

    I’m currently going through heartbreak, yes. Was in a wonderful relationship with one of my best friends for a few months. And he was so, so big on touch and snuggles. I tend to recover from heartbreak by focusing on myself and my goals/success. So that was a big reason for me exiting my hiatus. I felt it was time to return as a pro and continue working towards my goals in that area, especially after I got vaccinated.

    That said I’m still looking for a cuddle buddy and a friend, because I feel like that’s what I need right now. I’m just using basic apps to try and meet folks but it seems I luck out or don’t tick enough boxes as far as people’s political beliefs and whatnot (I’m a centrist for the record).

  • @pmvines Was just reading your wise words. I've been in d & a recovery for 33+ years and your advice rings true. The parallels between withdrawal from drugs/alcohol, and ending a relationship, are many. The issues beneath the reliance on either may be identical. Thank you!

    @MxSmith , macaroni, lol, I like that.

    @ChefKate , I’m truly sorry for what you’ve been through, but it’s cool you’ve been able to find solace.

    For me not heartbreak per say, but have now realized how important physical touch is to me and how great of an impact it can be for those that like or desire it. Wishing you all quick recovery from your heart break.

  • Heartbroken indeed, i miss her so much but in the end we were not right for eachother. Even after a smooth breakup ending on good terms it doesn't mean it hurts any less. I know in the long run that time will make it better, some people turn to substances for short term relief, i just want a cuddle man.

  • @ChefKate im sorry you had to deal with that. @Youngieness I’m sending you cuddles.

    I said goodbye today to someone I love. The pain of a piece of heart being ripped away. The grieving has begun. I don't even know if cuddling could help ...

    Yes but at the same time I have health issues that I could use some nurturing
