Accounts Paused

Multiple people I have been messaging suddenly have (paused) next to their username. I says I can't message them while their account is suspended. So how did they get suspended and how do they get unsuspended? They seemed like legit accounts who were nice enough, one was on here for 8 months, both with profile pictures.

You can voluntarily pause your own account. Just a way to be hidden from searches and prevent new messages without deleting account entirely.

Pros’ accounts can be paused for a variety of reasons that usually come down to some investigation happening. The most common Ive discovered is when the credit card we keep on file is declined.

Following every paid session, pros are automatically charged a commission that is auto-debited from a card we have on file. If that transaction is declined, our accounts get paused. This can happen for a variety of innocuous reasons: bad expiration date, fraud alert, etc.

Usually things are resolved in a week or so if they are going to be. When someone voluntarily pauses their own account, it shows as “deactivated” or “muted.”

Yes none of these things are red flags, although they can be a little frustrating. They all mean the same thing - the person is struggling a little, in some way, even if it's only with some admin.

The red flag version is Banned. The site readily bans anybody they think is being harmful to the community.

@JasonCuddles You are likely to see a rise in deactivation during this uncertain time. If they aren't in a position to meet during the lock down they are likely to deactivate till they see an opportunity.

@Lovelight yeah that's fine, it's just when they're asking me something and I try to reply but can't it's a little sucky. Playing unpaused account tag isn't something I really want to do. It would be nice if you could pause your account, send a message to someone, and have it allow them to respond regardless of account status. But only people you messaged after you paused the account can send messages to you.

I just wanted to add to what @BellaSera said. Re: credit cards declined. Because CC is a British company, not all U.S. credit cards are accepted and they don't tell you if yours is ok until you are declined. You can sign up and start cuddling without realizing your card won't work until bam, you get paused. This happened to me.
