Im think of starting a stage discord. Let what day and time your available so I can set on up.
Also if you have a day or time you want it to happen reply in the comments.
I know what the Discord app is;
But what is a “stage” discord exactly?
The stage is what they call a chat group
Oh, this would be nice. But why not a dedicated server too? It seems one used to exist but no longer does.
Yea we can, I'm new to the whole discord thing. I've noticed that we are all internationally separate from me each and the only platform we can all chat in quick time is on an an online platform such zoom is discord. I chose discord because it's much easier and higher quality

I prefer not to go to a second location. Especially if the vehicle is headed towards the desert, and I'm handed a shovel.
I use discord regularly and it definitely is one of the best ways to chat in "fast time" online.
@Catloaf there was one and the link is dead. I was trying to find someone who might still be in the server who could grab a new invite link but I haven't had any luck.
I’m something of a Discord whiz so would have no issues helping set up but the problem is that I already have one game server I’m in charge of and working on so I can’t dedicate too much . I definitely would love to help admin it though and make sure the place stays clean and troll-free if this indeed is something that gets set up.
What would be the benefit(s) of using discord over this??
Discord has voice channels, so you could hear all of this, not simply read it.
I leave it to you to decide if that’s a benefit.
What timezone are we talking about
I’m a part of a few discord groups and those groups have great organization!
Within the Cuddle Comfort group you could have a US channel, an AUS channel, UK, etc along with a general shared channel where we can all gather to talk, post song recommendations for sessions, maybe even memes. I’m happy to provide recommendations if you’d like some help making it happen!
I can set it up. I manage a few servers of my own as well as a discord bot I'm using to learn programming.
Not sure how much moderation it might require but I can devote decent time towards it with some other mods.
Now I'm thinking of a hug bot to program...
If nobody makes the discord by this evening pacific time I'll put it together and post it up. Going to add some basic anti spam and anti raid protection. Also maybe some fun bots, I dunno yet.

Hi, I've take consideration of all that's you said especially considering we are all in different timezone. I agree with @Emma said of having separate channels for each time zone. That way we enjoy and communicate with no. With that in mind. For those in a different time zone than me being that I'm in australia, will need to create your own channel. If you need help feel free to ask in the comments, we will help you. Also if you already created one post the link in as well. Given you that you might be in a different time zone it's okayvto join other channel. We are a community the point is be together not separate. @Big_Chris if you can set one up that wouldn't be awesome. Also if your going to creataca channels let us know so we can support. Are the Cuddle Comfort developers/owners on board with a “Cuddle Comfort” Discord?
Hi, @CharlesThePoet i've just email them throught the 'contact us page' about my suggestions on having a discord as part of the separate but at the same time Cuddle comfort community, informing them of the benefits this could be bring to the site. I'm just waiting for a response.
Actually if everyone could contact them using the contact us page and go on suggestion. And messaged them, they'll eventually recognise the importance of using discord and allow or better help create way it work for all of us. Great suggestion @CharlesThePoet.

I had said I would set it up but as @CharlesThePoet said, without blessing from the site owners I felt that it was going to be a bad idea. I'm all for having regional discord servers for people, in an unofficial sort of way. I think a main official server would be better but I don't want to step on any toes.
You're not stepping on toes and I'm personally supportive of any chat rooms the community create. From an official perspective our focus remains on the website itself.
Now I need my teenager to teach me how. I have reached that age.
Nice! I feel a more optimal way to identify time zones would be to set up one general server, and have reaction roles based on timezone (set up with Carlbot). Just my opinion. Then you can have members worldwide in one place, and easily identified by clicking on their name.
Man, I love setting up servers. It’s so much fun. I just wish I had the time to dedicate to help y’all. 😖

I made the discord. I used carlbot from @Catloaf 's suggestion and added a few basic rules and spam protection. I'm 80% sure that I didn't miss anything. I also added a few virtual cuddle rooms with 2 or 4 people max, so you can have a smaller group gathering or personal virtual cuddles. I'm in the market for suggestions, and moderators to help with keeping the riff-raff out.

I was under the impression that Phil wanted a AUS-based server for those in that area, while I made a more general one (thanks for checking it out btw)
I know there's some overlap but they can both exist. I'm sure that it would be better to have one central location but I don't want to decide how servers should operate, these should be community projects.

The Discord I run is a for a community for a specific game, and it's global, so I am simply used to the time zone differences, etc...
And, gamers are not exactly known for adhering to strict sleep schedules.
I finished a game about ten minutes ago with four players: One from Singapore, one from Latvia, one from Brazil, and myself here in Colorado in the United States.
