There is a question that i have for the Pro Cuddlers on this website mainly but would encourage feed back from anyone.

There is a right not to want any Karma on a page but what would be some reasons not to want any Karma on your page (including good)? Bad Karma would be understandable.

Another question being is it okay to ask for Karma for your page and should you ask before posting Karma?

    Yes, in general you should ask before posting Karma.

    No, it's not ok to ask for Karma because that could put somebody in an awkward position. However, it is ok to mention that if they wanted to write Karma that would be acceptable to you. ("If you would like to write some nice Karma for me, I would appreciate it. However, if you don't that's absolutely fine - I know some people don't do it. Would you like me to write some nice Karma for you?")

    The most important thing is that Karma must not be 'traded': Karma in one direction must always be kept totally independent of Karma in the other direction, so that both can be totally honest and fair.

    I can think of lots of reason why people would not want Karma. It may give somebody a feeling of being 'judged' which may be particularly uncomfortable because of past experiences. Karma removes 'plausible deniability' about your activity on the site: it's one thing to have an account, it's quite another to have an account with lots of Karma. The writing of Karma may create a sense of obligation to write nice Karma which the person may not want to do, or they may not want to risk having to deal with a tricky situtation and just prefer to stay away from Karma altogether.

    Whenever you are writing Karma your comments should be true, fair, helpful to the reader, and as kind as circumstances permit. In my experience it is best written a day or two later, when the session is still fresh in your mind but any emotional attachment - good or bad - has passed.
