Follow-ups?

How many of you are actually having people follow up after an initial contact?! Seems to be a lot of flakiness or hesitancy to many folks.

    what do you mean?

You mean for setting up appointments?  I've talked to a few girls - some respond in a very timely manner, others take their sweeeeeeet time.

I appreciate those who respond in a timely fashion because it sets a positive energy mood.  Yes everyone is busy and I'm guessing most girls get bombarded daily but I also assume they weed out those who aren't serious about meeting.

In short, I think we all face hesitancy and flakiness.  I just move on to meet someone non-flaky.

Yeah, I've had the same problem. I've tried meeting people through Spoonr, this website, Reddit and also my Facebook cuddling group, but I find the majority of people either don't respond at all - or they flake out at the last minute. When I do actually get to meet up with people offline, it's not uncommon to not hear back from them again afterwards.

I've been wondering why this is the case. Are people really anxious about cuddling a stranger? Do people like the idea of platonic cuddling more than the reality?

I don't think I'm doing anything specifically that would put people off, so I've been quite baffled by this.

  • Thank you Sunflowerfield. (cool name by the way) I have had several guys contact me (not a lot yet) and once I tell them the price and that you have to wear clothes...boom....they disappear. Does not seem to be a lot of people serious about really cuddling. How is it going with your FB cuddling group? Any referrals from that? Would love to build my client base.

I think people like the idea of cuddling but some aren't fully comfy with the idea of paying for cuddling.  Especially when the customer service isn't up to snuff.

Of the pros I've encountered some want to give an experience and some just want a buck.  It feels like 90% want a buck and a few want to give an actual experience.  More and more people are piling on the pay-for-cuddle train so pros need to really raise above the crowd.

On the flip side people are flaky as all get-out so if people are serious about their craft patience, diligence and improvement go a long way.

For myself all of my cuddle buddies have married or moved away and the Craigslist gals I've encountered are too grabby so I'm in a tough spot.

Hope, patience and luck are my new pals!

@Allison7830 I'm not a professional cuddler, so my situation is a bit different - I'm just interested in meeting people for free and making some new friendships.

By the way, the Facebook group is going well thanks. A local news reporter wants to do a story on it soon so that will be cool! :D
  • There has been a notable amount of flakiness, especially when I establish that my business is completely platonic, the expectation that we will be clothed, and I have a safety contract that we both must agree to. I think there are a number of people approaching cuddlers as way to be close to someone and then initiate non-platonic touch and break down the cuddlers boundaries. Which should not be someone's intent when seriously pursuing therapeutic touch or even in every day life when people establish where they're coming from and where they're willing to go.
  • I am interested in providing an experience. I am a licensed counselor so I am a great listener and I think that helps me out a lot...or it should. Hopefully I will develop some clients. I like listening to people talk about themselves.

The lowkey prostitutes posing as cuddlers enable those clients that flake when they know they're going to get strictly platonic session. That's one of the many reasons that type of pro annoys me. It creates such a bad name for legitimate cuddlers who want to provide and experience and make an difference

yeah, that's also anpther  thing, meeting strangers when you have a family and work full time is not the easiest. I also have a feeling the guys messaging me might want more than cuddling.

also no matter how platonic, there has to be something in common, I think that establishing it is important
