@MaineCuddle I can see it in your eyes that the “inner you” (as well as your photo in general) is full of youth and vitality.
A year ago I felt 54 but after a year of clean eating, exercise, proper sleep, significant weight loss, and a couple of bio-hacks I learned along the way - I now feel better than I did in my 20s. My work keeps my mind young and now I have adopted a lifestyle that will hopefully keep my body “functionally young” for many years to come.
I know soooo many people younger than me who can't keep up. I also know many who are well over a decade older who seem to have boundless energy and even at my highest point of output make me look like I'm barely awake. I don't know if "age is just a number", but the older I get, the more I don't really care about it because it doesn't define anyone.

As a kid, I was tolerable-looking for a skinny nerd. Age added some aesthetic touches, as it so often does, but I expect I won't be truly, stunningly good-looking until I hit my sixties or seventies.
So far as personality goes, well... I once said that I felt like I'd crash landed in the mountains of life and bits and pieces of me were scattered up and down the entire Age Range. That's as true today as it was then, though some pieces have shifted!
I don't know but what it's true for nearly everybody.
And what is this "beautiful for your age" nonsense, like people naturally get uglier as they age and retaining beauty is something to be remarked on?
I do believe that's a compliment with a sting in the tail. (Perceptive of me, maybe—for a great ape.)
@DaringSprinter Yes! I appreciate compliments but looks compliments always feel weird to me and then "for your age" - how do I take that? Lol I don't think they meant for it to come across that way so "thanks" to the compliment-givers. I've never heard anyone tell a man they look handsome for their age though. It's just well-known that men get better with age like a fine wine or cheese and women, I guess, shrivel up like prunes and start sitting in a rocking chair and knitting. 🤷♀️🤦🏻♀️ Here's one for you though - you are a fantastic writer. I would definitely read your memoir or novel if you were to write one.

Thank you for commenting on the "for your age". That tagged onto anything is like adding in "but" after an agreement or compliment. It's deflating and in this case a bit cringy/awkward too.
