I've sat on this question for a minute. However, if there is a track I always seem to revisit, it's a cover by John Mayer. I think music is way over-produced and a lot of a person's connection to just a guitar is lost in this idea of a perfect arrangement when drums and mastering isn't necessary. Below are two examples of artists and their guitars.
lol my music tastes are soooo different from most people. My favorite song right now is Sing Gently by Eric Whitacre. It was for his virtual choir 6 and also 10 year anniversary of doing this virtual choir. It is sung by over 17,000 people in 129 countries. To me it is something that had perfect timing too as it came out in December 2020.

Though when I think about what my favorite song of all time is or even at this time... the following are some of the ones that come to mind. Maybe some day I can find the one by order of elimination.
Still, it's hard for me, because so many songs play different roles in my life. Ranging from the ones that make me feel not so alone, or feel inspired. To the ones I find quite relatable, that make me feel like dancing or singing and everything else in between.
So maybe it's easier for me to think, if there was just one song that I had access to for <5 years, which would I choose? Which too, I find is more challenging than I thought.
