Who up
Probably a lot of us. 😊
I am currently sleeping.
I'm always here to chat!
Hi I’m new here
Awake.. but not up
When the sun's down in the northern US, you can pretty much count on me being up. Hey there, fellow conscious people!
It's a party in here tonight!
Anyone bring coffee?
nope
☕ puts a pot on.
I've got a cold brew coffee pot. Has anyone here tried adding spices to the grounds before brewing?
I find cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice make for a very Christmassy drink. Pepper adds a subtle burn, and salt pulls a lot of the bitterness out. Cloves? Chives? Sage? I don't know yet. It's a fun experiment if you're in the mood for experimenting!
My son used to make cold brew coffee to sell, and one of his flavors had a hint of cayenne in it. It tasted pretty amazing.
@JoyfulHeart: That is exactly the pepper I use. It really makes a difference, doesn't it? (It also tastes good in hot chocolate, oddly enough. I didn't expect that particular experiment to turn out well.)
I don't wanna wake up 😴😴😴
@DaringSprinter - That sounds really good Cinammon is amazing
Wow, I have used spices in my tea, and even had cinnamon spiced latte. But I have never thought of adding some spices in the coffee grounds before brewing! That sounds like something I would love to try.
Cardamom and ginger go well with tea. I could experiment with coffee and let you all know the results!
@spreadjoy I would cardamom if she looked like she was under 21 and was trying to buy alcohol.
That made my day @JoyfulHeart , thanks.
@NicoSnuggs: It really is. It can be kind of bitter—meaning whatever you add it to needs extra sweetener—but the flavor of cinnamon is definitely worth it in most cases.
@spreadjoy: Ooh, shared experimental data. Yes, please!
