Why do you hire professional cuddlers?

  • Why Pro Cuddlers? A lack of enthusiasts in my area, basically. However, All my experiences with Pros have been delightful and rewarding. One characteristic that @CuddleDuncan mentions is that the hope might be for one-way care. In my case, I also like to “give”, not just receive during a cuddle session, and that can be met with curiosity by some Pros. I like “to cuddle” as well as “be cuddled”.

Furthermore, with a Pro, the rules of engagement are very clear (as detailed and required by membership of this site), and even though we sadly hear of misbehaviour from some guys regarding boundaries and wandering hands. With a fellow enthusiast, who becomes your one and only cuddle-buddy for a year or two, it’s easier for lines to become blurred. I’m not referring to relaxing of sexual rules here (although I guess that is a distinct possibility), but I’m focussing on the bond of friendship and closeness that can occur once a real sense of trust has been established over time.

So, I have always preferred a long-term cuddle buddy, but the Pro’s I’ve met here have always been;professional and kept me sane :)

  • I agree with Relaxed Today on the professional aspect, as I contacted an individual who disappeared on me, after what I thought was an initial positive contact I vetted them accordingly, with vaccination questions, and provided my contact information. No further response. I am fine with that, as not putting myself at risk with an unknown entity. Be mindful that what is listed as a "Pro" doesn't have any more certification than an enthusiast; they established a profile for a fee. Their intentions may not be any more honorable, than your own. The comfort level for both parties should be a mutually rewarding experience. There is more than enough darkness in the world. Spread joy.

For me, being touched is a basic need. In those times when I'm not getting the touch I need, I shut down, and certainly am not in a place where I can hold space for someone else - so I hire a pro in order to get held and not have to worry about anything else.

  • I think it was mentioned by another, but I accidentally met a pro and she introduced me to cuddling and pointed me to this site. The world has been a wonderfully different place for me since. I hadn’t realized how much I needed it and how truly important for everyone to be able to feel that relief from stress and anxiety. I prefer to call on pros mostly when traveling as it’s most probable I’ll be able to have a session with a pro when needed. A cuddle buddy though would be very nice.

  • I have reached out to several enthusiasts and haven’t gotten into much conversation, so I am likely going to hire a pro

I would say “doesn’t necessarily have any more certification than an enthusiast” because some pros do have certifications.

  • On my side, I suck at dating too.
I would therefore (if possible in my area) book sometimes for sessions with pros because this could guarantee me a quality service without the bad surprises usually encountered in other more usual kinds of relationships : people here talked about "flakiness".
In other words, the amount of settled clear rules would make me feel safer (as an Asperger's ?), unlike fuzzy rules.
Sure, a pro session doesn't provide the advantages of a real relationship/friendship (the feelings involved and their durability when genuine).
But when in case of extreme painful distress, it may help me to recover hope and self-esteem. Or to maintain them during long periods of loneliness.

  • Because it's worth it.

  • I have to agree with everything Nature_Lover said above (and I can personally vouch for her being an outstanding cuddle buddy). Cuddling is like an emotional superfood - so many positive benefits to being able to talk to and hold and be held by someone who lifts your spirits and makes you feel loved and valued - without expectations and entanglements.

I hire pros as a form of self-care. I’ve had the opportunity to spend quality time with 4 different pros and I look forward to seeing all of them again for repeat sessions but distance makes it difficult to see them as much as I would like.

I have tried contacting enthusiasts and I always attach a photo but I rarely get a response. Every now and then I will re-visit the profiles of enthusiasts I never heard back from and about half of the time their profile is deactivated, deleted, or I see they have not logged in since I messaged them 2-3 months earlier. I am sure there are some great enthusiasts on here but I have not connected with any yet.

  • Let me just give some perspective as to why an enthusiast woman might not message you back. I signed up at the end of December, so I'm totally new to this. I wanted to book with a Pro woman first (still do). I have received inbox messages from 70 different people, all of them men except for the one Pro woman I contacted. A third of the men who messaged me don't even live in the same state (some talked about travel, some asked about virtual), and at least 5 profiles have been banned. I've had messages that just said things like "Hey Beautiful" and others asking me to call or text them. I did have a few respectful messages that I replied back to, but with so many messages I got overwhelmed.

  • @Dulcie7
Thank you for your comment & insight from a female enthusiasts perspective. My messages to enthusiasts were always polite and positive but I have no idea how many other messages they may have received (or how respectful the other messages may have been).

Easy answer- Because it's extremely difficult to find a woman who will cuddle for free.

To help my mental health. To cope with being in a ldr. Less rejection. There usually prety cool people that I vibe with. I feel super safe and able to relax.

  • If I were to, it'd be because that'd be the only way I'd get cuddles from this site.

  • I used to laugh at people that paid $5 to purchase an item in a free to play game that I could easily earn in a couple of hours. Years later I now have a lot more responsibilities and a lot less time. I realized instead of spending hours in game to get the item, I could just log in 10 extra minutes at work and just purchase it. I went from the mindset of thinking "pay to win" players just didn't have the skills, to "pay to win" players are just being more efficient with their time.

I spent a year trying to find cuddles. Invested weeks tweaking my profile. Countless hours messaging people back and forth. Occasionally convincing someone to meet me in real life. Even traveled out of state to meet people. Met 7 people from the site, we never even cuddled. Half of them I didn't even get a hug. Wasted so many hours searching for a "free cuddle" that if I put in those extra hours at work instead I could have hired a pro.

  • @DonLonG i used to think you were very successful with female enthusiasts … when I was new here & 1st stumbled on the forums, several females would mention how , “they wish DonLonG was back” … I thought wow! This donglong person is very lucky & must be doing something right that the rest of us guys aren’t doing …. But thanks for putting things into perspective & sharing with us your personal experience.

I don't think I could hire a professional cuddler since I would get too attached to that person.

  • @cuddles_ndream I drive for a living and put on 300 miles a day on my car. An hour each direction is well within my traveling range. My mom lives just north of Las Vegas which is only 5 hours away. I have family all over the neighboring states I go visit a few times a year.

I have had lots of success with members that consider me outside their range, which most seem to consider more than an hour too far away to actually meet. We have good messages that turn into phone conversations. Then after a few days/weeks when I broach the idea about meeting in real life they always seemed shocked.

Them: "But I live in Tuscon"
Me: "That's only 2 hours away, my work takes me there next week"
Them: "Oh, I'll check my schedule and let you know"

    Ghosted

I've come to the conclusion that when people feel there's no chance of meeting they are a lot friendlier and bolder. I get the "If only you lived closer" a lot. Like A LOT! Then when they find out I'm willing to travel it gets all too real and they get busy. Always had the worst luck of connecting with someone right before their busy season.

  • I've come to the conclusion that when people feel there's no chance of meeting they are a lot friendlier and bolder.

Indeed, which I personally find so strange. What the heck are these people on this web site for? If people are just looking for texting buddies... well, first of all, why? But second of all, maybe this isn't the right place for that.

  • I have had the same experiences as @DonLonG. I actually live in Tucson and I have had women say "but I live in Phoenix". When I tell them I'm going to be in their area, then they stop all contact.

This isn't just cuddling websites. The same things happen on dating websites.

I asked my female friend about this and asked her what I was doing wrong. She said I was doing all the right things, but unfortunately some women lead men on, without any intentions to meet, just because they can. It's the sad, but unfortunate truth.
