Even though I'm not Chinese I celebrate. I'm lucky in the sense that I was born in the year of the dragon. Apparently a lot of people say that that's a lucky year to be born in. Two of my ex-girlfriends were born year of the tiger.
Yes there are numerous lunar calendars (with different new years obviously) and I was thinking of the Islamic one, which happens to be the one that affects me the most. And the Hindu one .... the Chinese version doesn't seem to affect me so much which is why I didn't think of it at first.
@CuddleDuncan fun fact. The Islamic new year for shia Muslims is a time of grief and mourning.
