I advocated for myself and other tenants to have sand for the ice. They pushed back. I pushed back. In the end I lost, but the effort mattered.
I helped a stalker who was harassing a former co-worker of mine to see the error of his way. He not only left her alone but also suddenly decided to move to another state. 😊

@CharlesGrove Most of my career I was a fashion illustrator but did all illustration also. I really need to make an effort to progress but seems overwhelming. I think you’re way beyond me! There’s so much I don’t use, and the brushes! You can buy add ons but I haven’t used all that are built in.
Had a painful, 'very deep deep tissue' massage day before yesterday. Was sore yesterday. Woke this morning feeling very levitated and relaxed completing multiple chores than I thought I can.
@JohnR1972 I thank you for helping your coworker! Too many times we are treated like the problem and not the victim. Several years ago, I was stalked by a guy after he broke up with me, and another time, by a lunatic former customer at work (who threatened to kill me for closing his account) was caught sitting in our parking lot, watching our building before and after hours. Both incidents involved me being lectured by the police.
So I don't want to make this too long, but long story short I was doing paid training working for a software engineering consulting company from end of September to December. I kept quiet about this just in case it didn't work out. I was told the whole time I was performing well, but in the end the client chose to only keep some of us and not all like they had originally stated. I wasn't one of the chosen, so the consulting company let those of us not chosen go. The point of this story is to say I'm glad I got through the training and was being paid to learn, but also to say what happened after.
My old job welcomed me back with open arms and were missing me (the tasks that I was doing before seemed to be in a mess while I was gone, so I had to clean that up). Anyway the accomplishment I am proud to say is that yesterday I got a promotion since they've been noticing my work since being back. Still going to keep looking for software engineering positions, but in the mean time this is an accomplishment to me that I'm super happy about.
@starrynitecuds - Sorry to hear about your experiences with both stalkers and clueless cops.
Some stalkers are “just” creepy, others are truly dangerous. The one who was harassing my former co-worker (a single mother with 2 teenage daughters) was sending her disturbing texts and photos. Her local police (she now lives in a different state) claimed they couldn’t help because the stalker was using a burner phone number. I don’t know if they simply didn’t want to help or if they really didn’t know how.
Regardless, using his burner number, I was able to identify him and harvest his personal data (home address, vehicle registration, current employer, all his email addresses, etc.). He did not have a criminal record but he was recently divorced.
I sent a copy of his most disturbing text messages and photos to him at his work email. The message addressed him by his full legal name and “encouraged” him (no explicit threats) to never again text ANY woman with the type of messages he had been sending. For added incentive to change his ways, I included a still image of him putting gas in his truck (from the gas station’s security camera) and details about the food he had delivered to his house the previous evening.
My former co-worker never heard from him again and he moved to another state less than a month after receiving the email so I consider it a “win-win”.

It was snowing with a mix of rain all through the night so the cars were covered and it was mostly sloppy slush on the ground. I have MS, multiple sclerosis and cold-weather totally annihilate my legs and makes me weaker, but I still went outside to clean off the cars and get them warmed up, so everyone in the house can get ready for work and school and be on time without having to take the time to clean off their cars. Something like that is huge for me.

I went to do my regional tournament for the game Dimension, and lost by two points.
I decided to play in a different tournament of a game that I had never played before called Bohnanza. I tied for 1st place and the other person conceded so I could have the ticket to Nationals at Gencon! It will be my first time going to Nationals!
