Please don’t feel alone

Having scrolled through the discussion boards I have seen a remarkable number of thoughtful and compassionate souls who just want to be there for others and this has become a very foreign concept to me in 16 years as a psych nurse. I wade through trauma 12 hours at a stretch and it has been so nice to see kind people who answer questions thoughtfully and supportively.

While I am yet to find my cuddle bud(s) I am certainly more optimistic about the prospect of it now. I do believe that everyone, no matter how awful their behavior, is wanting to get to a positive outcome. That doesn’t mean you have to entertain their abuse, however.

Thank you, kind persons, for taking the time to type out good thoughts, well wishes, and your own hopes and needs. There is a beautiful and subtle type of power in being able to share your vulnerability and that you want to give and receive comfort. It is the most human of conditions.

I hope you find both what you need and what you are looking for. I hope cat videos appear out of nowhere when you are sad. I hope you remember that feeling lonely doesn’t really mean you are alone. You’ve been a boost for me, I hope this is a little boost for you.

  • Nice post, @RustyTheNurse. I don't think I've ever seen this

    put so well.

  • Aww. You folks are so sweet. Gonna have me tearing up like Miss Georgia when she gets the crown. 👑

If anyone needs to talk they are welcome to message me. I am also thinking of doing a healing post on here as well. My other joy is massage/bodywork and NLP and change work and I love working with emotional trauma and guarding.

It’s almost like you get to give a persons body back to them after they have felt locked in it or outside of it for so long.

Thanks for all the amazing vibes.

  • @RustyTheNurse May I hug you now, sir? Such a wonderful post. I'll reread this a lot. And a cat video does chase my blues away sometimes. Lol.
