Traveling Cuddlers

What’s the best kind of job/career that allows to travel to different states in the US or out of the country and at the same time you are able to cuddle?

  • I'm gonna guess any transportation related industry... Aviation, train, long-haul trucking, cruise ships, etc. Basically any that have travel automatically built into the job description.

Perhaps some sort of competitive sports affiliated job, or marketing/branding types, or reporters/investigators.

FBI, US Marshalls & bounty hunter types could be too I suppose... I haven't met any, but despite media stereotypes it sure seems they would enjoy some snuggly down time too.

  • I think it’s a requirement if you are a criminal fugitive.

  • ...or part of a cartel?
Like the "Fun" Cartel ?? 😜

  • Anything remote on a computer. I worked remotely for two years and traveled the states at will. Best time of my life.

  • Walgreens inspector.

  • Any job that is remote . I've considered doing online therapy , or EAP full time which is all remote.

@Drop_the_Mike When you do a job search on a search engine type in road + warrior. Those jobs are heavy travel jobs and that is a key term for travel intensive jobs. I take over 100 flights a year and my clients are always saying “you are a road warrior.” But one caveat—traveling for work on an almost weekly basis is in and of itself work. The shine comes off the turd quickly.

If you decide you want that lifestyle, please watch “Up In the Air”. I identified (while not being like the character) so hard with Clooney’s character because so much of the travel bits are true.

  • @pmvines Depending on the kind of therapy, you might have to be licensed in each state your client is in.

  • @SunsetSnuggles true . Social workers dont have a compact license but that is something NASW is pushing for. However EAP, for example, you are primarily triaging and providing resources and aren't billing for individual services so out if state licensing doesn't apply. A couple of my friends do it as a side hustle on weekends and have calls from all over, as the companies they contract with to provide EAP services are often national or regional chains .

  • @pmvines That's awesome!
