Suggestions for improving this website

  • I live in a pretty liberal city and am cannabis friendly in my household.
I would like this option as I enjoy the properties medicinally vs. psycho-active side of things.

However, I do not smoke before, during or at any point I will be hosting in my home for the day. Nor do I keep anything out or on display, my home I try to treat as I would with an air bnb client staying in my home. Neat, clean of smells and smoke, and welcoming.

I do like to be as transparent about who I am as I feel communication is key in all areas.

Would love to have multiple options as well for cannabis :-)

  • If the site can include the average number of stars & the exact number of karma reviews, next to our profile name, it will be very helpful when doing a search for cuddlers. Example me: average 5 stars, 37 karma reviews. And the hourly rate as well for all pro cuddler accounts. Sort of how Yelp is structured. @Mark do you think this is possible?

One thing, and my apologies in advance if its already been brought up,but making the forum searchable would be an improvement.

  • edited January 2019

@Timdabrewer There is a "search" box for the forum on the right, but it's a bit limited. It would be good to be able to search by thread title and/or post text.

(Tip: If you want to search for a phrase, put it in double quotes or it will search the forum for any of the words).

I think it should be required that you reply back, even a simple NO, I find it very rude to not even take a few seconds to reply back. I know I could reach out to 10 people, and maybe 1-2 would reply back, do others see that-??, maybe it's just me-??, I have now starting blocking them, so I don't even have to see them anymore.

  • It has been well documented that sometimes even a simple no leads to nasty replies from potential cuddlers that don’t handle rejection well no matter how polite the answer is.
And judging by the tone of your message @59conv you seem feel you’re entitled to an answer (you’re not) and you seem to be pretty ticked off that you’re blocking them and is that kind of attitude that women on this site are afraid of and don’t want to deal with.

This has been discussed before and the consensus is if you don’t get a reply just move on contact other cuddlers. Not even pros are obligated to answer if they don’t want to.

  • @59conv - no reply means no. We've all experienced it. This subject has been discussed many times. I suggest looking back at previous threads.

  • [Deleted User]59conv (deleted user)

I did not see that when I signed up, I can live with that, if that is the policy, so from now on, I will know, but, for me, I will reply, I guess it's just the way I was raised-?, I am the 1st. to say I am OLD school, I open doors for lady's still, if anyone says hi, I say hi back. I can see where someone might want to make a big deal out it if they get a NO. And on the blocking, I feel if that person is not courteous enough to reply back, then I would not even want to meet them, I do dislike rude people, Thanks for the reply's,

  • I had my comment deleted for saying smokers are stinky, so that's special considering the OP says that they think the "smoking" portion of the profile is unnecessary.

It was flagged and I deleted it as it looked like you posted here by mistake - it wasn't flowing from the conversation, wasn't website feedback but instead was just an insult about smokers. But I see now you were responding to an earlier post.

  • Insult is a strong word. If I am in a smokers house, let alone lay in their smokey sheets, my sinuses swell up, my eyes water, I can't breath through my nose, and I'll have to air out afterwards because no one I live with smokes. Im just making the case that it's an incredibly important part of the profile.

If i showed up at a place that didn't disclose it was smokey, I'd have to turn around and leave. Smokers don't smell it on themselves, weed or cigarette.

    Great site Mark!
But I would really like more options for search radius. 5, 20, 50 miles are too big of jumps. Could it be 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50?
For people near a big city like me, a jump from 20 to 50 could mean an extra hour or two of driving in heavy traffic.

  • @59conv I am not trying to discredit your feelings as being invalid, however I would ask you to look into yourself and ask if it is fair or reasonable to take your personal offense as an expectation for all users to abide. I realize you may get upset and feel rejected when someone does not respond to you, however to want to make it a requirement is a bit extreme and unrealistic.

  • More increments for search radius please like proposed earlier. Would it be possible to add an additional filter to only have the location change and all the other filters stay the same? It's time consuming to have to fill in all the options each time you search outside a certain radius. It'd be nice to go from Chicago to Minneapolis without reentering everything.

  • Also about the forum posts, I'm really glad we have a search feature to the side but it's so basic its frustrating sometimes. The forums are followed by a lot of people and not everyone has the time to remember code so the search is abandoned in frustration. Thanks for the great work, it's getting better all the time~

Shout out to @respectful for the great work in the resources and discussions. All that hyperlinking and categorizing is absolutely great!

  • I have only cuddled with "pros" so far. Most of mine have been great. I had one this week who stood me up at the last minute for the 3rd time in a 2 weeks. If you agree to cuddle then do it. If you are not interested, don't agree or at least communicate that you changed your mind. If I could offer a suggestion, it would be to not call those who sign up to get paid to cuddle "professionals." While some are, there are many who pay the fee to make some money but have no idea what it means to be "professional." Maybe use the the title "Hired" or some other word. If my suggestion is beyond what is acceptable on this forum, please delete it. I don't want to offend the administration or be out of line. Overall , I have had great experiences and have met some wonderful people thought Cuddle Comfort.

  • [Deleted User]MissX (deleted user)

@Jay222 That "pro" should have been reported after the second last minute no show. Things happen outside of our control sometimes but that is totally unacceptable and makes all of us look bad. I don't know if changing the name of a pro would help eliminate that behavior tbh.

@11rollover @mickcuddle I completely understand though I'm hesitant because giving such precise distance options may encourage people to place too much confidence in that function. It's only accurate if people choose to enter their zipcode as their location but many (probably most people) enter their city instead.

Come to think of it, 5 miles probably shouldn't even be there right now for the above reason.

    Instant messenger app

  • @MissX You are right, I should have reported her. I just didn't want to cause any issues. My reason for suggesting the name change is because we are programmed to expect a certain level of conduct and service when someone is a professional at any level versus someone who is hired to preform a job but is not a professional. A professional in any field usually has some required training and certification. Maybe just semantics relative to this field, but it does give you a certain connotation. Maybe have levels so that a person has to cuddle a certain amount of people and time to become a professional?

  • Mark,
@PaulaDahla also asked for the finer range increments.
I'm not sure how having coarse range increments helps the city/perceived accuracy issue. The fine 5 mile radius option is still available either way and that's the one which would cause most problems. A 10 mile option would make that better.
I once booked with a cuddler who listed themselves as LA when they were actually in Pasadena, but I placed responsibility on them (like any rational person would I think) and not on the website search function.
    Thanks,
    11rolllover

@11rollover I agree the 5 mile is an issue which is why I mentioned it earlier. I now intend to remove this.

Basically it seems to me that there's a balance to be found between how short a distance you allow vs the potential of someone mistakenly thinking they have no cuddlers near them.

Under the assumption that most people enter their city on sign-up, most search results will be in respect to a radius from the city center. So you could have a cuddler literally next door to you but because you set your location as your zipcode (very good) and they set theirs as the city (less good), you both miss each other with a short radius search.

I'm only really thinking about this now so my rationale could be all wrong but it seems like more options on the shorter end of the radius spectrum lacks value and could actually leave someone with no options when in reality they have someone near them but don't know it.

  • I'm leaning to the smoker search/indexing level of smoking. I am a smoker myself and one of the things that makes it hard for me is seeing a non smoker and not wanting to reach out because I don't want to offend. I mean I do ask how they are around it and I don't smoke during the cuddle but it would make searching a lot easier overall.

  • There should be an option to mark if you are an extrovert, introvert or ambiverted. It would help TREMENDOUSLY with knowing a proper approach to take with a person.

  • @Tisdoney - why not just ask? In any case, most people only fill out the mandatory questions, so you'd end up having to ask anyway. But since cuddling is a one-to-one activity, it really doesn't matter. The main difference between introverts and extroverts is how they act within groups of people, not with individuals.

  • [Deleted User]DarrenWalker (deleted user)

@UKGuy: Actually, even being around just one person for too long (over three hours, say) can drain me pretty good. Even if we're just watching a movie. It's not that I hate people or anything—it's just that I'm extremely introverted, and will need people (even just one person) to leave after a while. Before I collapse.

  • [Deleted User]patTheCuddler (deleted user)

@DarrenWalker : ha! I have a similar thing. I am kind of extroverted - I like meeting new people. But after 3-4 hours of constant interaction at a party or a hike, I just want to be left alone.
