The $200 Cuddle

So a new professional cuddler appeared on this site a few days ago, and I reached out to her to get details and to request a cuddle session.  She got back to and said she could not host (a deal breaker for me) and that she  charged $200  an hour for her services!  Yes that's not a typo  she wants $200 for an hour session.  I was  surprised to say the least, since  the going rate  for professional cuddlers on  this site seems to be in the $60  - $100 range.

So i responded, maybe hastily, asking her if she was a cuddler or  hooker, since in my neck of the woods cuddlers charge between $80 - $100 an hour, and that a $200 price tag per hour certainly suggests sexual services.  Well i guess I pissed her off, she responded that she's certainly not a hooker but the $200 / hour price tag was meant to keep "assholes like me" away.

Was I an asshole to react negatively to a $200/ hour cuddle price?  I think that maybe she should find another site or perhaps advertise her services on either Backpage or Craigslist.

Any thoughts?

By her logic, you, myself and most of the men in the world are assholes because most of us wouldn't pay $200 an hour for cuddling.

Thats a definite red flag. More is probably offered but will not be directly said. If someone was legit at that price they would have little to no customers.
  • I would think that in her profile she would post on whether or not she could host and her rates especially if that is her standard rate. To be honest the only reason why I could see someone posting that price would to imply that she does more than just cuddling or she has to pay for a hotel room or other place to cuddle... unless she is hoping to catch guys who are hoping to get more than just cuddling. Then she can have an excuse to cancel the session when they keep pushing for more and still keep the money. If she doesn't want to take on a client then she doesn't have to. It just seems a little shady to me. But I could be completely wrong!!!

I doubt that rate will stay with no clients willing to pay it. I'll keep an eye on the account.

I would imagine a lot of women would be offended if you called them a hooker.  Why bother to call her out on her pricing?
  • [Deleted User]Unknown (deleted user)
@njcuddledevil I'm glad he told her although I probably wouldn't have referred to her as a hooker. Maybe she didn't know that the fair market price is $80 an hour.

I found out who the pro is and her profile reads exactly like this,

"My cuddle sessions entails the very meaning of the word:- "CUDDLING"

Simple old plain cuddling, no removal of clothes or body parts touching whatsoever in any way"

Sooooo..... how can you cuddle if no body parts are touching???
  • edited February 2017
@Morpheus: Maybe she meant "naughty parts"
  • [Deleted User]NJCuddleDevil (deleted user)
@Morpheus  Maybe she means plain old 1800s cuddling.  Like the Amish.  I imagine they cuddle without touching bodies.

I think you misread the ad... for $200/hour she will not only cuddle you, but make you dinner, wash your car, do your laundry, do your taxes, pay your bills for you, clean your living space, iron your underwear, fix that squeaky closet door, beat that video game boss you've had trouble with, walk your dog, and keep your feet warm.  All this AND she'll most likely give you bad karma afterward.

    Keeper.

Glad to see my ex found a gig! :P

  • Looks like her profile has been removed.
  • [Deleted User]Spoonie (deleted user)
@cuddledingo. If she was doing all that for $200, I would hire her!  Alas she has evidently left the site. My loss I guess.

I wonder why she left. Was it that once she found out what the fair market price was, she decided that wasn't enough for her? Was she embarrassed when she saw this thread?

Mod Edit: Removed reference to speculative claim of illegality.
  • She's back - Anna1914 in NYC - listed as a professional cuddler - someone probe and see what her rates are -
  • [Deleted User]Unknown (deleted user)
I messeged her, she looked at my profile and didn't reply

    The plot thickens...

    (not really...)
  • [Deleted User]Unknown (deleted user)
She probably been exiled from backpage *sigh*
  • $200? That's just crazy! I'm not saying I wouldn't pay $200 an hour, I would and I have. Not because that was their rate, but because they were so great I had to give them a good tip. They deserved it!
  • Wow you're nuts if you're paying.someone 200 an hour just to cuddle lol. You don't need to pay such insane rates.
  • [Deleted User]Unknown (deleted user)
$200 for an hour? That's insane, no platonic cuddle is worth $200 an hour.
  • [Deleted User]chococuddles (deleted user)
"...no platonic cuddle is worth $200 an hour."

No platonic cuddle is $200 an hour.

From what I understand, that $200 very quickly became $100 which suggests it was probably an optimistic feeler rather than something more suspect.

There should be a cap on how high the cuddler can charge here. The normal price is $60-100.
  • 1. She probably just didn't realize the market and has since fixed it (after over charging) but yes $200 is too high and definitely not normal.

    2. Yes you are a bit rude to jump to that Sex worker view point. I have been a stripper in my past (making $2,000 a night with nobody touching me) at strip clubs and a topless  dance with no touch is like $100 for 5 minutes.... nobody is doing extras for that price
...and I have also had many escort friends. The going rate for Sex/extra type stuff is generally closer to $1,000 than a $100.

-So not only did you call her a whore basically. (Which is already offensive) You implied she was a CHEAP whore. Lol. Kind of funny.

    - Maybe she is an escort, $200 is a lot for cuddling , but I'm sure if she is one and she can afford to live in New York she's probably not charging $200 an hour. More like $2,000. As a princess at children's parties (I wear clothing and do magic and facepainting) I make $150-200 an hour (and I'm clothed) so I'd say her asking for $200 an hour is closer to clothed princess party work with children than sexual work rates. Anyhow I just find the whole thing funny. Was likely a mistake on her part.

Before you charge anyone anything it's proper business etiquette (and common sense) to do some research and see what people are charging for a service or a good.

Implying someone did a little more than cuddling in a session doesn't mean they're a sex worker. Speaking of which I've had quite a few escort friends as well and while a few charge high most were around $200-$500.

Bottom line is no one knows except the person who said it.  And he might have just been embellishing for fun.

    Good chat tho. :)

The prices that @Buffyswan mentions for strippers and escorts is so extremely incorrect that it borders on being ridiculous. She just officially lost all credibility as far I'm concerned.

and I'm sorry to everyone for my rude comment. I don't mean to be rude. I truly believe in the power of cuddling and it's potential concerning pros etc but I'm over the top irritated at some of the fantasyland nonsense that I see on here sometimes. Some people are so far detached from reality that's it's crazy.
  • [Deleted User]Unknown (deleted user)
I did the math and a stripper making $2000 a night with no one touching her, if she worked 5 nights a week should make half a million dollars at the end of the year. Considering it would likely be cash transactions, she probably wouldn't report the wages and not pay taxes on them. So that being said, why would anyone who could make half a million dollars a year stripping, want to be a pro cuddled and expect tips on top of that. If I were the girl in question, I would strip for 5 years and so long as you invest wisely, you would be set for life.
  • [Deleted User]masterofcuddle (deleted user)
So was she making 2000 just on stage with dollar bills? Even doing lap dances that's 100 lap dances at the typical rate. Don't ask me how I know that lol.
  • [Deleted User]Unknown (deleted user)
A lap dance at the majority of clubs is $20
  • [Deleted User]masterofcuddle (deleted user)
I just re-read the lady in question charged 100 bucks for one lap dance with no touching. I've been to a ton of bachelor parties and I've never seen one that high especially with no touching
