I find articles like this interesting. I’ve seen other articles where they discuss pro cuddling and focus on male pros.
What’s so weird to me is that they present it as if the male pro is getting tons of regular bookings, cuddling 8 hours a day, when that doesn’t seem to be any male pro’s experience on CuddleComfort. Moreover as far as I can tell CuddleComfort is by far the most used cuddle site. I know a couple female pros who used the site mentioned in the article and got very few bookings until they made an account here and got swamped.
@CuddleWho, the guy in that New Yorker article is so full of it. All you have to do is google his name to find that he runs a sensual "bodywork" service for gay men. He might do some cuddling, but he calls his signature package the "Sidekick Bromance Experience." Here is a preview of the About Page:

To be clear, nothing wrong with m4m bodywork services, but this guy is not selling platonic cuddling...

It appears to me that the article itself is focusing on platonic cuddling. That’s a good thing. And that it is about a male cuddler is interesting, too. However, as has been pointed out, if someone googles the guy they are going to find out he’s engaged in other activities that may not be platonic. That’s a bummer because it not only ties cuddling with other non-platonic activities but, unfortunately, is also linking massage/bodywork to other non-platonic activities.
@Babichev the article does indeed focus on platonic cuddling, but I suspect it’s basically untrue. The article presents this man as having a thriving cuddle business, while it seems more likely that he actually has a thriving sex work business, with the cuddle thing serving as a discreet front for that (and maybe an occasional actual cuddle client).
