Is this an out of season April Fool's joke? (Winnie the Pooh horror movie)

Comments

  • Pantless bears chasing around bees and children are scary

  • The character entered the public domain, so anyone is free to use him. Disney had nothing to do with it.

  • I saw that. Crazy

  • Looks terrible, which is exactly why I need to watch it.

  • I love trailers. They save you the trouble of watching the film.

Pooh is in public domain now, so anyone can use the character for anything. Horror films have always been seen in Hollywood as a cheap way to make a fast buck.

Yeah they probably rushed this out as soon as they could after it the subject matter went public domain as others have said.

My prediction for the plot/how it'll play out:

Either 5-10 minutes (if it's a shorter film which it probably will be) or 15-20 (if it's a longer film and needs to stretch it out for budgetary reasons) of the introduction bit with Christopher Robin going to 100 Acre Woods and being chased around, followed by the whole rest of the film being the most overdone classic slasher/thriller film setup you can think of except it's some people dressed up (which isn't too unusual in those kinds of films anyway) with them occasionally saying garbled versions of Winnie The Pooh character.

They didn't seem to say anything in the trailer which means the voice they have for them if there is one is probably not the best sounding, and they want to draw people in with the mystery of what they respond with and how they sound.

Also not nearly as horrific as another film about a strange bear creature starring the guy who played Hagrid, really the stuff of nightmares.

    EDIT:

Just went to Youtube and the first video I got recommended was this.

If y'all are talking about truly terrible horror movies, you need to see Alice In Murderland. That's an hour and a half of my life I'll never get back.

  • @Zundar Gooby! Lol I was trying to @ Gooby by accident lol

  • This was $20 to see it at my local AMC and it was excluded from Stubs A-List benefits. I heard it was pretty horrible anyway. Maybe I might watch it when it comes to streaming for a good chuckle, but it's not a horror film to be taken seriously.

  • Wow. 😅

The main problem with this trailer is that Winnie the Poo looks just plain dumb

  • @Mike403 ahh no a-list? Boooo! I will wait then as well.
