Video chatting beforehand?

I’m new to this site, and new to professional cuddling, so I don’t know what is recommended for professional cuddlers for safety. Do you meet people in a public location first? Or video chat beforehand? And how much notice do you require of your clients? I’ve had numerous people message me about cuddling but once I insist we video chat before hand, or say that I can’t meet the same day but would need to wait until the weekend, they stop responding. Should I relax my requirements?

Don't relax anything. Some people video chat or meet in person. Some people just handle texts and photos. Everyone's different. Do what works for you.
If they can't be patient and wait, let them find a pro elsewhere. There's a very good chance they didn't want to cuddle. Some people have legitimate reasons such as traveling and childcare etc, but those people typically explain themselves.
No recent photo = no session , no exceptions.
That rule alone will save you a lot of problems.

The ghosters, commonly want more than platonic cuddling.

Be safe and please visit our pros forum.

  • Absolutely do not reduce your requirements, no.

Same day appointments with new clients are notorious and many professionals don't do them.

Anybody who won't agree to a free ten minute videocall beforehand is best avoided. Any legitimate client will be perfectly happy to do it.

  • These are reasonable precautions, and by all means you should continue them if they help you feel safe.

That said... very few cuddlers on this site do anything like that. The vast majority just book a session and show up. To this day I still find this a little strange given how much of a concern safety is supposed to be for cuddlers, but that's what they do.

And, to be perfectly honest, at this point when a cuddler wants to take precautions like this I do see it as a negative signal. Based on my experience, it's likely she's not very comfortable with the prospect of cuddling, and she'll probably make me jump through a couple hoops and then ghost me. And if we do have a session, she probably won't just relax and hang out with me; she'll try to make it into some formal, therapeutic thing, which is not at all what I'm looking for.

As I said I do think these precautions are reasonable, but just wanted to give some context for why potential clients may reject you based on them (or they could just be jerks).
