I hate how things are getting so tough out there. There is so much violence and crazy b.s. That I fear for everyone. I hope there is a light at the end of the tunnel as we move forward as humans, I just wish peace will just bless this amazing beautiful place and bless all of us who are lucky to be here. I hope you all had a wonderful Samhain and may your holidays be bless with love and laughter.

@MirandaHunters Thank you for sharing your sentiments. While there will always be periods of gathering dark, storm clouds, take comfort in there is always a bright, warm sun shining behind them.

I'm vaguely familiar with Samhain. I have a few pagan/Asatru friends.

Most of human history is chock full of violence and craziness, and that isn't likely to change anytime soon. But remember that the overwhelming vast majority of people are kind and decent and good - we just don't hear about the goodness in media.

@MirandaHunters - Relax. Violent crime is actually decreasing, not increasing. What is increasing is the level of hysteria generated by certain politicians, aided by some in the news media.

According to an article the BBC, in most American cities, the total number of violent crimes, has been falling. For example, in New York, between 2000 and 2020, the number of violent crimes fell from approximately 62,000 to 37,000. Over the same time span, in Chicago the number fell from 48,000 to 26,000.
