@achetocuddle Never cared for stuffing. Actually not really big on Thanksgiving, or food in general.
Thanksgiving was Turkey, stuffing, mashed potato’s, lots of Chinese food, lasagna and stuffed mushrooms! A real all American version of thanksgiving. My friend said he had baby carrots, marshmallow dessert of some sort, green bean casserole, and sweat potato pie. All of which sounds super sweet! Too much sweetness for me, but gotta live traditions!
I'm thinking about incorporating a lot of charcuterie boards to my holiday meals. Has anyone done this before at their gatherings?
@pty1999 - Charcuterie boards are a GREAT idea for holiday gatherings/meals.
You all talk favorite dishes, but I like to make or bake decadent desserts:
Chocolate croissants, apple croissants, banana cream pie, cherry cheesecake, or... cranberry pear cobbler. TO DIE FOR.
Stuffing... or dressing as others would say. It's essentially a once a year treat for me. Bread, butter, herbs, turkey drippings. It's carb-y comfort! ♡
Traditional turkey and dressing, gravy, sweet potato casserole, green beans, cranberry sauce and pecan pie
I smoked a turkey once that was pretty good, But I usually put my turkey in an oven bag with salt, pepper, onion powder or flakes, and a can of wheat beer. Sooooooo good.
I also make a killer sweet roasted chicken. Salt, pepper, apple cider, tarragon and/or rosemary, and honey.
