Cuddling with a best female friend

  • @Nobodieshero That's BEAUTIFUL!🥰

  • Figured Id give an update on this since someone else might fall into a similar scenario someday. It pretty quickly turned into more than just cuddling, and we're currently in a relationship now. It all felt right and everything was very mutual. She's a sweet girl. She's the same girl who would workout with me and I felt like I needed no filter around. And actually its the first time I've heard from her that she's happy in years, so its a win lol

It wasn't my original intention but put 2 really expressive people together and I guess that's what happens. I don't think I can do things and not get attached, still being on this site was an interesting experience.

    Keep it platonic.

  • @Nobodieshero Awesome man! I am very happy for you!❤️🥰I wish you two the best! Sounds like solid connection on many levels!

  • @MrAdmirer they're in a relationship now why would they keep it platonic ?

  • Yay @Nobodieshero ! This makes me grin from ear to ear. What a great day for you to tell us!

@MrAdmirer This was a woman Nobodieshero knows in real life who previously was just a good friend. The backstory is at the beginning of the thread. I love this story!

  • @Nobodieshero thank you for the update.

I have a friendship similar to this. I have a friend that I've known for 5 years and I consider her my best friend. She's as touchy as I am and when she's single, we stay touching each other whenever we hang out. We've cuddled each other in low times for each other and she's a true blessing to me, but we know that it could never go beyond platonic friendship.

  • Thanks! I had felt chemistry around her before but I always had her "friend zoned" in my mind. When we went to the gym together I'd often do "the loop" with her. Basically I'd be back in her town to drop her off but wede drive around for another 15 minutes or so to keep talking a bit longer.

The first time we cuddled she kept giving me little kisses which I didn't mind at all. We talked alot about it all (apparently she had been feeling the same chemistry for awhile) And so I unfriendzoned her in my mind. Ironically this all happened because of this site and me mentioning it to her, we have similar physical needs.

  • This story is a dream come true. Thank goodness you finally talked about how you felt @Nobodieshero .

You are so lucky to have a friend like that @RaveHeart.

  • My wife cuddles her best female friend weekly,I have cuddled her friend as well. My wife's friend does have a partner but they are not keen on cuddling.

I love hearing about this. The ironic thing about friend-zoning her is that friendship is the closest set of relationship expectations leading toward romance. When a person engages romantically, in a healthy relationship, people go from being friends to being closer friends. I guess we call that a girlfriend/boyfriend or lover. I find this particular aspect to relationship building to be a funny play on words. In any case, I think you have gone with the right flow here. Hearing the background on this and the gravitation toward romance is heartwarming.

  • @Nobodieshero so happy to hear it’s a great growing connection for you both. 😊

  • My best female friend is my most cuddled buddy

I love the way you put that! Exactly, and it's funny because we've talked many times about how this is different than anything else we ever experienced because we already know each other so well. It's like the reverse of typical relationships. You are already this respected person in the other person's mind and so you proceed differently and with different thoughts and cautions. We definitely became closer friends. I now know we have a lot of things in common that we never even knew about before. It's been really good and interesting so far. And lots of cuddles

Not really adding anything new here, but just to toss in my pennies: communication is always the answer. Relationships in general would be vastly less complicated if people just expressed their wants, needs, and desires in plain (mutually understood language).
