  • @Sooson So you think I should base someone's gender on what you happen to think it is?

  • @PeopleLikeUs I think there's an unbridgeable gap between us so I choose not to continue this conversation. Sunday afternoon, Football is on soon, let's give the moderators a break :)

    take care

  • Thanks for all your responses! A few follow-ups:

No, I'm not paranoid or in a gay panic. I'm just curious about why dudes turn up in my "women only" search.

No, I'm not insecure. I'm completely secure in who I am and what I like.

Yes, I'm aware of the existence of trans people. I have no problem with that. Usually, men who have or are transitioning to women try to at least somewhat look like women. The pictures I see are 100% male-looking.

This isn't about visiting profiles. Men visit my profile, I visit men's profiles. I assume this is usually the result of someone seeing a forum post and having curiosity about who the person is. No problem there.

Comment logged and you are being put on a site and forum timeout because of it. [netrunner]

  • @FitSmartCuddler Good to hear. Your initial post did come across as a bit paranoid considering that a profile turning up in a search is something you could simply ignore. Thank you for clarifying your intent.

  • @Sooson

"When one runs a search, they would like to know what you are, not what you think you are. "

Who someone thinks they are is key to who they actually are. A lot more than just appearance plays into this. Physical, Genetic, hormonal, neurological, and cellular considerations all factor into gender.

  • The CC site has a "search glitch" that I've long noticed... maybe this has been mentioned elsewhere.

If you change your location search, or any gender/race preferences in the filter, the CC system reverts to a certain default if you don't scroll past Page 1 of your new choices. I have to reset my custom filters often, especially when new areas I search have minimal users. Possibly the cause of Male/Female intertwines in search.
