I was home schooled and and learned absolutely 0 social skills. Going to an actual high school sounds like it may have helped 🙃
With the benefit of my current knowledge and experience, there is so much I would like to go back and do differently. It would certainly result in living a very different life, but I'm willing to gamble on my new path turning out better.
No. On the one hand, with my current knowledge, I'd have a better understanding of how to handle high school drama. On the other hand, I would still be stuck living with my parents. So in the end I'd have to say No.
No. Like everyone I have more knowledge now and one thing I have learned is daydreaming about the past and possible pasts is an unproductive waste of time. I prefer to look forward at what I can control and affect and to live in the moment as much as possible—to me that is work enough.
I didn’t hate high school, but it also wasn’t my peak. Now, to do the mid 90s (early 20s for me) over again with my 2023 brain? Heck yes.
@FunCartel some people “daydream”, or come up with different topics to possibly make for interesting conversations …. Others wait for their bosses to buy them a ticket and send them to dubai, and than constantly talk about it in the forum, and think that this is interesting conversation lol
In a heartbeat...wish I had half of the wisdom in high school that I have now. Even the chance to make 2 or 3 different choices would have changed my life for the better dramatically. However, there is no going back, and all we can do is use the wisdom we have today when we arrive at a fork in the road to choose the better path.

I gave my answer and my reason which I am entitled to and my philosophy—I don’t live with regret about the past because it is done. It is obvious you have a problem with my answer and I have no idea why. And who is constantly talking about Dubai? I don’t see anyone doing that constantly? Your post doesn’t make sense.

No never. I was probably the most miserable in life during my high school years and couldn't stand how a lot of people acted. The only reason I could maybe see going back would be to have performed better academically and plan my future out, but things happen for a reason and I wouldn't be the same person I am today if things changed. Basically after I graduated high school, the sun seemed to shine brighter and I was much happier that it was over.

I was in the throes of a mental health crisis which led to compulsive thrill-seeking and a staunch refusal to examine the impact my actions had on others. I was also operating under many fundamental misperceptions about race, class, gender, sex, and sexuality. I had no framework with which to examine capitalism and colonialism or to consider that young people might have rights of autonomy.
But on the down side… (I joke. That was all downside.) I lacked any concept of how essential platonic touch is, let alone how or why it’s essential.
In short, I would give my left arm to be able to re-do those years with the security and self-knowledge that I’ve obtained since.
Yes, much of what you said applies to just about everyone but that last sentence begs the question—Wouldn’t you just come across as an adult in a teenager’s body? Much of what you know comes from experience and mistakes and to go back in time fully formed would be an exercise in futility because what you know is based on what you were—and would what you were even listen to what you know now? Not saying you are wrong, just posing the question.
I think for me, if this is free time that won't cut into my lifespan then yes I would do highschool again. I would barely do enough to get by and then take all the extra time to study interesting things. If it does use up some of my lifespan then no, I wouldn't do it. I would much prefer to study physics and/or engineering at a school I could learn something from.
Absolutely! I missed out on so many opportunities because I was scared of failure and trying new things.

Interesting timing of topic...in the news today there is a report about a 29 year old woman in New Jersey who enrolled in a high school there and it took 4 days before authorities found out! 😲
