Travel destinations for a cuddle pro ✈️🌈💕

Where, in your opinion, are the best (most profitable) travel destinations for a cuddle pro?

I wish I could see a map of where the most cuddle comfort users are, or something! I know Austin, TX is great for cuddling (where I live). I went to Houston, TX last weekend and that was awesome...

  • I see there are lots of pros near me in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas. I bet somewhere between the two (near Disneyland for example) would be a nice spot to get lots of coverage within 25-50 miles.

  • NYC has a lot of cuddlers, and regular traveling cuddlers who I have been told do pretty well. I suppose that’s probably true for most American population centers though (DC, Miami, LA, etc).

I think @respectful wrote some forum posts a few years ago analyzing the distribution of cuddlers by geography. Maybe he can weigh in on current stats?

  • Lots of pros/clients in the Orlando (Also near Disney) and Tampa areas of Florida!

    Bora Bora

  • There are some statistics and maps referenced in this thread, mostly from 2018.

@NYCLatnGuy -- it's a bit harder to get those stats again now though.

  • Still a great list. Just wish it was updated to post covid numbers.
Cali and nevada maybe even Georgia have a good amount of cuddlers @Erin_Elle_ and @respectful

  • @Charlie_Bear oddly enough, I saw a recent post from a pro who traveled to LA and struggled to get anything booked. Someone else chimed in and said they had similar experiences. The working theory is because of the sheer numbers of pros, constant popping up of new pros, etc, people are flaky and noncommittal and just shop around. So it’s hard to nail down solid bookings and it’s really risky to travel there. I think I saw one pro say they’ll never travel there for cuddling ever again

  • @bobadevotee thay is a good point on general and a great data point. CC should contract out people who are traveling frequently to put together better data points so pros can have info instead of literally flying blind

I've been all over the place with success aside from Portland. hahahaha I think I know why. @MissAdventurous love you! Hugs. Edit: seriously, Portland was hard. Most everywhere else is good though.

  • Thank you! 🤠

  • A wander around the map seems to suggest that Providence, Rhode Island is worth a look for a visiting professional.

You can give wherever you are thinking of going as a secondary location and see how much interest in produces.

  • Providence, RI for all intents and purposes is part of the Boston Metro as it is just a few minutes down the interstate from Boston. Not a big deal to travel from one to the other except at rush hour, but you could snag the work from home crowd who now think a half mile jaunt is a journey and business travelers who do not have a rental car.

But I had a lady I cuddled with pre-pandemic in Providence and she indicated that she received very few inquiries from Providence. She said it is a very old world city aside from the colleges. At least that was her theory. She definitely was not the reason she didn’t receive that many inquiries.

  • I'm from RI originally and moved to FL last year. I scheduled some cuddles while visiting over the holidays and none were from Providence. The inquiries I got were mostly from Boston and some from out by the beaches. All were about 45 min from where I was staying. I will say that I get more inquiries from up there than I do here, but they span CT, MA & RI. I'm in an area of FL that's pretty quiet and most of my cuddlers here live 45 min- to an hour (or more) from my home as well.

@bobadevotee oh wow, that’s no good! There are a lot of pros there so I could def see that as being an issue.

My theory is to go where there aren’t many pros.
When I visited Puerto Rico in April, I changed my location to PR for the trip and has a few inquiries from locals that lives there and people who were visiting.

I think if you’re a pro, you’re more likely to get a better response for booking sessions if you visit somewhere there aren’t many pros. Kind of like the supply and demand theory. Although I hate to use that as an example of what I’m trying to say.

My coffee hasn’t kicked in yet. Please forgive me if that sounds blunt or unkind.

  • “Oddly enough, I saw a recent post from a pro who traveled to LA and struggled to get anything booked.” @bobadevotee

Oh how I wish I had taken this advice!! But, I guess I just had to find out for myself!! 😭 I’m flying to LA in two days and I can’t get a single booking! I’ve messaged with a ton of folks, zoom-called with a handful, and I can’t get anyone to commit to a day and time and send a deposit.

I’m still going to go. I didn’t get insurance on my Airbnb or airfare. I’ll call it a vacation. 😐🌴💕

  • @Erin_Elle_ thank you for posting, this is really interesting. It suggests that the market for cuddle professionals is saturated in LA.

In areas with active cuddling, new professionals are usually inundated with enquiries. It tails off after a while. Moreover, a number of professionals have expressed sadness to me that so many of their clients book once, have what is a clearly a happy time (and often leave karma) but are never seen again.

In other words, a new face such as a travelling professional should attract bookings. But, in LA, it seems that it doesn't since it's happened to several people. This suggests that there are already too many new or new-ish faces for the demand.

  • This is a good post @Erin_Elle_ .
Generally I book with people I find close to me or someone who pops out on the discussion board. Develop your network and travel to those people and connections. Have a great adventure

    @CuddleDuncan @Backscratch75

Thank you for your replies. I was worried I’d just sound like I was complaining. But, I think it’s interesting too.

I was also thinking of planning future trips to someone in particular. One guaranteed booking would be nice. Maybe to meet someone I’ve had great virtual sessions with.

@Erin_Elle_ Hate to say it but I would not recommend the LA/OC area if you need guys to commit in advance. Perhaps it's because of how many pros are here but I seldom get anything other than same day requests anymore. The few that are patient enough to be vetted often ghost or get banned.

  • New England could stand some fresh blood. I love going to Boston and Vermont etc but the pickings are hit and miss.

  • @Erin_Elle_ come to Manassas, VA.
Mountains, Caverns, and plenty to do!!!
Population wise not a lot of pros. Come have a great time!!

  • Hey fellow Austin cuddler! I travel a lot back and forth to my hometown Seattle and have found success offering cuddling services while traveling there. I do notice though many of the requests will be from either the most northern or most southern cities (Marysville, Everett, Federal Way, Burian) which can make travel difficult if you end up staying in the wrong area. Staying somewhere central such as Queen Ann, Redmond, Kirkland, Bellevue area will situate you centrally between both of these points but expect a lot of time spent on traffic for whichever party is traveling (Seattle traffic is no bueno). Similar to Austin, Seattle hosts many events and conventions downtown - Emerald City ComiCon, Sakura Con, PAX which means a constant influx of visitors and travelers seeking relaxing downtime in the chaos of con attendance.

Rates are similar to Austin rates (probably slightly higher due to higher COL), but everyone I have met has been super nice. Plus. it's grey 9 months of the year so conducive to cuddling :). I hypothesize cuddling probably won't be as high traffic during the summer months because it's when us Seattlites crawl out from the gloomy weather to soak up sunshine and replenish our much-needed Vitamin D!

  • @Kuneho
I have attended PAX West in Seattle and it was awesome. Those conventions in town seem like a great way to get lots of bookings.

  • International tours look like the way to go.

  • Advanced bookings before going anywhere is the way to go.

  • Honestly i think it depends for example all the major places in florida i see prefer smaller cuddlers which is hard because i live in florida(My sisters are both thin and do greater i dont get many cuddles) but in a different area i do better. You can change your secondary location and see if your getti g messages maybe

  • Las Vegas, NV and Orlando, FL are great spots as well ☺️
