Karma for rude or inappropriate messages

I recently had a conversation with someone and mostly due to distance and her not willing to do a brief phone call to ensure a good fit, we decided over messaging that it wasn't a good fit. She then went on to say some rude things to me and blocked me instantly. when I went to give karma, it said that you can only leave karma for no-shows or things of that nature, and if you leave for any other reason, you are BANNED?!. so you can't leave karma for someone who is rude? if you go to yelp or google reviews, you can leave feedback for anyone whether you purchase or not. I feel it should be the same way here. Several years ago, I had a "pro" call me on my google voice number, not sure how she found it, slinging insults and threats to me. but because we never booked, i would be banned for leaving a review? this is a safety issue if nothing else...

You have the option of reporting this person and they can be suspended or banned by the moderators. The karma policy as it exists prevents people from leaving bad karma every time they have an argument with someone in the forums or they don't get a reply to a message.

The rules for leaving karma are very clear: leave karma only when two people have met OR in the case for no-shows. CC is not Yelp or Google reviews. We have these rules precisely in place because we don't want a free-for-all of comments for connections that might have or could have happened.

If there was an issue of harassment, then report their profile. If they sent harassing messages, include the screenshots.

We recommend people block accounts/profiles with whom they do not want to interact. If you have exchanged contact information with someone, then block them on your phone.

Stay safe, and best wishes in your cuddling adventures. Hopefully your future conversations are with people who are not rude and who are a better fit for you.

I understand that the rules for leaving karma are very clear and what I am saying is that they should be changed. I don't have evidence of this account that called me with threats; I wouldn't even know how to record a conversation. I suppose I'll take @WriterGF advice and report them to the moderator, if I can figure out how to do that...

  • To keep it clean, im confused. Were you giving your number out? Messaging on here or another messanger? Just trying to understand.

  • @ca2md go to the person's profile page and look for the 3 dots. Report is one of the options.

If for some reason you can't Report, message one of the moderators.

It's fine to Report even if you don't have any concrete evidence. It helps the mods build a picture, if there is a pattern of behaviour. We have been told the guideline repeatedly: if in doubt, Report. That professional who called you? Report.

Karma is for describing your experience to help others decide whether they might want to cuddle with that person. In review terms, Karma is a review of a meeting that happened. Meetings that haven't happened don't get a public review system on this site, and aren't going to. It would just create an open season for mudslinging.

    If in doubt, Report.

Just what we need more of . Nothing says entitlement more than revenge karma.

Things would go downhill so fast if people were leaving karma based on rude messages or because someone disagreed with someone else in the forums. It would probably devolve into simply leaving bad karma because someone didn’t respond to a message. People can be super petty.
