Good morning how is everyone doing??? I just want to take time out to wish everyone a HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!!!
This is an extra tough day for me. It’s the second year being alone on the day. But now it is also tragic for me. Last year my brother called me on this day because he knew I was hurting and we had a wonderful hour long conversation. Four days later I got a frantic call from my mother telling me the news that he suddenly passed away in his sleep.
So, I’m at least grateful that I got that final visit from him but the day will always be bittersweet now. I’m actually here visiting my family now and flying home later today.
I’m glad I found this community becuase now instead of being alone tonight I have someone to cuddle with!

@QuietCuddler61 thanks. Coincidentally I’m from MA and am in Billerica now. I’m flying. Home soon. I moved my family to Charlotte 8 years ago and am divorced now but stay there for my kids. I’ll see them for a bit this afternoon and very glad I was able to book a cuddling session tonight because I will need it!

You know Valentines Day is about celebrating romance, but it is also about celebrating love. I recently attended a Men's Group (focuses on conscious conversations and safe space to be authentic true selves) and the topic was word "Love";
-- Our journey/experience with the word love -- How we give/show love to OTHERS -- How do we show/give love to OURSELVES

For so many that don't have a significant other right now, it can be depressing, sad, demotivating. I don't have a significant other for today, haven't for the last 3 years now. Haha.
But here's the thing. All of us single humans out there today may not realize there is someone who is there with us today/tonight. I'm not special, because I just realized today who that person is. 🤦🏾♂️
My significant other today is me, Baby!!! 😁
Celebrate love today in the form of SELF-LOVE. This could be making yourself your favorite dinner, shaving or getting a haircut, maybe writing out the business idea that's be running through your mind for months, or just putting headphones and dancing and singing around your home while your alone (That's gonna be me tonight!)
What also comes to mind today is a song that has been my vibe since I start my journey with self- love, acceptance, care, & appreciation. The lyrics below, from the song "Soulmate" by Lizzo, is the epitome of the small action of self-love we can all do, especially on Valentines Day.
"True love ain't something you can buy yourself True love finally happens when you by yourself So if you by yourself, then go and buy yourself Another round from the bottle on the higher shelf"
Might be going to get me a glass of Johnnie Walker Blue Label then. Hahaha.
Hell, I might be on instagram talking about my Valentines Day Date night with myself. hahahaha.
