Just an observation, but it seems like all the mods are male. Are there female mods?

We cuddle enthusiasts and Pros, with no exception of any different treatment as anyone else. And there are no quid pro quos for moderating. We're volunteers, but we're keenly aware of perceptions of power imbalance.

One female, three males. At the moment. There are two gents who own and administer this site.
They recently opened up nominations for new mods, as well.
There have been other women mods in the past. The site is considering allowing professionals to be mods, which would vastly increase the number of women candidates.
We had another woman mod @sqeakytoy as well, however she is no longer on the site

Anybody been on here long enough to remember our original mod @docgatorb ? What a blast from the past. After him it was @netrunner . But before them there were no mods , only @mark fielding complaints and issues . Its only been since the past couple of years that there have been multiple mods at once .

I strongly encourage any female enthusiasts to apply here, even if you're not particularly confident.
We greatly value diversity of opinion and life experience. The number of male moderators is representative of the pool of candidates that come through nominations and self-applications. So far almost every female candidate has been a Pro but as the community discussed recently, a Pro mod would be controversial and a decision on that has yet to be made.
