If a person signs up to be a cuddler it is not their fault that they have to take safety precautions. Questioning why would they do this knowing it can be dangerous is putting the burden on them to have to justify their reasons , and you should instead be asking why is it that they dont feel safe , and what can be done to help ease and help resolve their lack of safety. If you are going to be upset, then be upset at the problem and what has created it , and not at the persons response to the problem .
If the professional doesn’t have any karma and is looking for an upfront deposit, I believe that there is a greater than 25% chance that’s she (or he) is a scammer.
If a Cuddler wants to charge a deposit, they can if they want but I would skip. maybe some would but I wouldn’t risk losing the cash. There’re are plenty of Cuddlers out there that don’t require a deposit.
If they Cuddler has lots of positive karma, then I would consider paying a deposit.
Sorry for your loss of income, but you saying that men and women have it equally hard is insensitive and ludicrous! I can't believe I am the only man on this post who is pointing that out. Something to consider: if you are going to go with an advanced payment, make sure they have been on here for years and have 10+ 5 star reviews. It's still a risk, but a very low one.
Oh, well I see that some other men did speak up. Apologies, for not noticing.
And OP. A best friend of mine was just beaten and put in the ER in the last week because she refused a someomes advances (another site) when he wanted more than cuddling . She only knew his username and first name which was likely fake, and he deleted his account. She couldn't even press charges cus of lack of identifying info . All because he was a incel entitled woman beating sexual assaulter, who was angry because he thought his money for cuddling also entitled him to sex . He didnt get what he wanted, so he beat her . So when I hear you and others whine like entitled man babies about how unfair it is that someone would like basic identifying knowledge about internet strangers they are meeting, I have zero sympathy
@pmvines Well...that honestly terrifies me now about pursuing cuddling. I am truly sorry your friend suffered that experience. I can only hope they'll be able to heal in all ways❤️
I've only had one session so far and he was completely understanding about my requirements and boundaries. I think this site can be a wonderful resource for people. It's also, unfortunately, a venue for predators as well🫤
I know it’s off topic but is there a way to hide forum posters who use belligerent and threatening language? It seems like blocking should also include this.
There are two things here: the scam? Yeah, that sucks. It’s one of the reasons I don’t work with pros-I know most are totally above board. I also know that many are not, as this thread evidences. I tend to stick with enthusiasts and this is (only) one of the reasons. I hope the OP gets the money back and this scammer is banned from the site.
But this post also evidences the mindset which makes women unsafe. There is a feel of entitlement and disdain. I don’t know if it’s harder to be a woman. Harder is a broad and subjective term. But what I do know for sure is that it’s more dangerous to be a woman. And the simmering resentment which comes out here would make ME feel unsafe if I was a woman.
The scamming has nothing to do with gender. The conflating of the two here is problematic.
@android3665 This thread is being locked as the you did report the Pro, but failed to mention you took communication off-site and tried booking a session outside of the site.
Not only is this a serious violation to the site rules for both people, but if/when this happens, at best the mods/admins will only either Ban or give a Warning to one or both people yet not assist with getting any sort of refund from the Pro. If the Pro account is found to be a legitimate scammer they will be banned, however, this in no way helps you get your money back. Booking on the site using the site booking system between a Client and Pro is viewed as a contract including, but not limited to:
Depending on the situation, repeat or first violations of trying to book outside the site will result in your account being closed and you being banned. Also, any one on the site, not just Pros, are allowed to take any reasonable measures for ensuring their safety when meeting another site member including but not limited to:
Most do this as a way to secure who they are meeting seeing as everyone here is meeting strangers from the Internet, which many people forget. Site members will sometimes or many times share with a trusted friend or family member who they are meeting with, names, photos, phone numbers and any other details so if something happens to them someone else knows and can go to the police with that info. Site members, mostly Pros, do run their own checks against who they are meeting, they Google them, and will conduct free and paid background checks, whatever makes each person more confidant meeting the other won't result in theft, molestation, rape, abuse, or death.
