Quietman I think you don't get the hotel thing. You think pros can just stick to clients who can host ? What you fail to realize is that pros don't want to just see any client. Many clients are kind of creepy and handsy and just not the best kind of person. So I've found many times that pros are willing to share the cost of hotels after they see me a few times. I guess I'm lucky that there aren't an unlimited number if paying clients who host and are decent to their pros.
So pros have a choice. Share cost of hotel and get less for that session or stick to clients who host but end up with fewer sessions and a lot of time with no income from cuddling.

From a personal perspective, certain life experiences have left me feeling jaded when it comes to the subject of pros. I paid a few times, but never truly felt like I made a connection that was worth continuing. I don't enjoy feeling like a connection is purely financially based. I truly understand why some may need the extra income, but so do I. I bought a house this past October and live via relatively modest financial means at the moment. I've been known to be generous with my money, regularly tipping well at restaurants, giving to the homeless, helping out a friend here and there (the ones who reimburse you, in any case), etc. I'm not saying that I'd never pay a pro again, since I'm also known to change my mind, but right now it's not something I'm comfortable doing. I want to meet people who enjoy being regular activity partners, without expectation of financial gain. Just my 2 cents on the matter and no offense intended if it came off that way at all.

My take is that when you pay someone for a service you are doing so for a service you want and /need, which does not obligate the service provider to necessarily return the need. In other words, with a pro, you are not going to be as likely to feel a genuine connection as opposed to someone who is cuddling you due to mutual connection and need. Its not a date. A good pro might be able to make you feel there is connection and reciprocity where there isn't one, but understand a pro, at least one who is doing it mostly for the money, is going to be seeing you whether they have a genuine fondness for you or not. The big question is, do you blame them for not having a connection with you or feeling the same way about you that you might feel about them, or do you take it for what it is, which is paying for a persons time and attention. I too have used a pro before, only one, and I have seen her a few times. She is someone I have a bond with. We text on occasion, she has invited me to an Atheism meetup, and we know details about each other that I am sure her other clients may not. I suppose I got lucky. Perhaps if I branched out and tried more pros I would not have the same experience which might jade me. Perhaps that is a simple solution; try to just stick to those with whom you have had a good experience!!

Therein lies the issue. I've had two pro cuddle sessions, one each with a different lady, and both shunned platonic friendship after a relatively short time. It would be one thing if I paid them to do my taxes. I only expect to see them once per year, even if I like my tax professional... which I do, by the way. Physical affection is a far different animal, though, and one that I don't take lightly. As an emotional creature, I want a genuine connection and I don't get that from someone who accepts my money for companionship but then disappears. Do I blame them? Yes and no, because it's a fine line between helping and hurting. After some thought on the matter, I've made a conscious decision to refrain from befriending pros in the meantime.

Without pros this site would crumble. It's very difficult finding non pro cuddle buddies here. This site should just be renamed to "Cuddle Pros" since it's pretty useless for finding non professionals.

@Cuddlebandit
. Dear Cuddle, your point is what really worries me, This site is to valuable to loose and its survival is based on the payments of our friends who work. A point in question, there is only one pro in the whole of NZ for 4 million people so CC dose not earn much out of NZ.
By the way there are more women on NZ CC than men about 2 to 1, there is a reason why such a low number of cuddle pros ( i do not like that word) and that is for another time.
When I read some of the threads I now know how lucky I am, a day never go's by when I do not cuddle at least 16 hours. But only 10 at weekends.
Cuddle trees they do not charge. love you all John Auckland NZ.

, I hope my comments are not construed as even remotely as hate...my experiences with 2 pro's I've frequented have been have been very beneficial...... (I have yet to benefit from spending time with a pro-CC). I value this site very much, especially participation of the professional cuddlers.

My Goodness! So much going on here, "energetically" I mean. I feel that this topic needs a good cleansing! I hear a lot of judgment & complaining. I will do my best to speak from a place of love:-) @I_am_polylover - when one focuses on what they "don't" have, you will keep attracting that. I admit doing that in my life, then someone taught me to switch what I didn't have into "gratitude", being grateful what I did/do have, and suddenly the energy shifted & the abundance started flowing!
@Morpheus
- my Dear, I do miss you & sadly for me, the Universe has not opened the gateway for a re-connection since our 1st meet. I respect your ideas & your constructive input. I really like most of the "pricing structure" idea. In fact, from another forum discussion on the topic of "discounts", I did implement that recently. I'm calling it a Spring time discount:-) $66. for the first hour, $60 for the second hour, and the longer the session, the bigger the discount! @FireandBlue - God Bless you Goddess! I was a single mom, raised my two kids without any financial support from anyone. I worked two, or three jobs at times. Not any easy juggle people, but us Mothers will do what we have to do for our kids!
All in all CC family, we don't know the home situation of each "Pro" cuddler, or their motivation for the money. It shouldn't matter! If some choose to "capitalize" from being a "Pro", then that is her choice. If a "Pro" cuddles because she enjoys helping people, and gets to generate an income from it, then that's a choice. My job? My actual job? I'm an Earth Healer, Water Protector & Humanitarian. I work on laylines, I re-grid land masses with frequencies in order to bring back balance to our Earth Mother. Basically, it's spiritual work. I don't get a paycheck for this level of spiritual work. I love what I do! It's my Soul's Mission/Life Purpose. So, I cuddle to generate income, for food, gas & mainenance for my car, etc. I'm a minimalist, but I still have to eat, just like you:-) What I see here, is that the "Men" are still trying to control this situation, yes, now it's a situation. Let go of the EGO! It doesn't serve in this new paradigm! Just accept what is, and move forward. Example: I've gone to several massage therapists in my life. There have been many that just didn't give a really great massage, so I try another, and even another until I find one that understand my needs. I expel a lot of energy when I work, so my body needs massage regularly. Even though I may not have been fully satisfied with the massage, I will still pay for their service, and even tip them, and not complain about it. Why? Because they did their best, and they gave their time to me. Everything is energy, money is energy, so when someone gives you their time and you pay for it, it's a healthy form of energy exchange...regardless. I conclude with this, If you're not satisfied with your "Pro", then give her an honest "karma" review, and try someone else. Let's all get on the LOVE TRAIN! Who's on board? Peace

What started as " what can you afford " turned into " this is how much it should be "
for "flower " : can't blame the men for wanting to take charge , after all , who , is doing the paying around here .
So , I think there are area multipliers here also an issue : what costs $80 an hour in Silicon Valley , should ( or could ) be multiplied down to $60-65 in the less expensive areas , perhaps the above posters do not live in Silicon Valley . I know I don't .
i think the " negotiate the price " idea is not a good one ( for the pro). Oh yeah it might sound good but consider this : Let's say in Canoodlesville the going cuddle rate/ hour is $80.00 . So Charley Cuddle sees Susy Snuggler for $80/ hour . Then along comes Harry Hugs . Harry Hugs browbeats Susy on price , she calculates that heck , 60 is better than nothing , so she agrees to 60 .
Next week or month , Charley Cuddle tells Suzy that he heard about Harrys session cost per hour , and wants the same , so Suzy thinks heck , 60 is better than nothing here and agrees . Now the going rate in Canoodlesville is 60 an hour . And it could keep going . Yes , there will be practitioners more costly than others but there will be an area average .And Suzy Snugglers negotiating will lower that average .( sounds like it's going to benefit the consumer , I'm not complaining about that , but I want my cuddler pros to make a living ) I would encourage the cuddler pros to determine what they are worth , and stick to that . In the long run , I think they will make out better .
If negativity , of pricing continues , ( and yeah it probably will ) perhaps the Cuddle Comfort people might entertain the idea of less commission .Will it make a difference ? They can say that they tried .
just an idea . After all , I think the Cuddle Comfort people are making a little more now than when they started ?

I can see both sides of the coin here, I am both pro pro and pro customer, and not anti either. I really don't have a dog in this fight as I am not even on here in search of a pro, just trying to find some decent folks to pass the time with and if I can find a cuddle buddy in my area that seems cool, down to earth, and authentic who happens to want to give me the time of day then cherry on top! I do truly love and respect you all and I hope this isn't an ongoing argument as I have only just recently came on this site and everyone seemed so into getting along at first ha ha
