How far in advance do you set up sessions?

I’m curious how far in advance everyone from pros to clients like to set up sessions. I’m asking because I’ve been trying to set up a multi hour session on a Friday or Saturday night two weeks from now and I’m not even getting reply backs on this. I’m wondering if it’s too far out or if the issue is that it’s a Friday or Saturday night. If I’m trying to set something up a day or two out, the replies are generally much better. Thoughts?

I can be flaked on last minute, and I can be flaked on weeks in advance.

That said, I try to schedule most things that need scheduling at least a week ahead.

I travel so I try and do it a week in advance for pros and more than that if I see any enthusiasts that are worthwhile. But I have done the day of because of someone else flaking at the last minute.

  • I’m going to Austin in two weeks and I’ve already set up a cuddle when I’m there. Usually, I try for a week ahead of time when I’m home in Houston.

I booked a long distance session for July because I’m traveling and had to lock it down.
Otherwise just set a week or 2 in advance and you should be good. Just make sure the cuddle has those days in their availability

  • I’m a pro and I prefer 48 hours advance booking for first time clients. If it’s a repeat client, I am open to last minute bookings if it works with my schedule.

  • @CuddlesbyJen how far in advance are you willing to book?

  • I normally book 5 to 10 days in advance but when traveling I have booked 2-3 weeks in advance.

  • My guess is that it's the combination of two weeks ahead and it being prime nights of the week for going out. It's possible that the thought in the head of at least some of the non-responders is, "But I have no idea what I'm doing that weekend."

As a corollary of that, older more experienced professionals are more likely to be accommodating of such a request.

Two weeks ahead is perfectly normal in and of itself. Given the high non-response rate from professionals at large, it could be that nothing special is happening at all and this is just a statistical outlier.

As a non-pro who's only cuddled with pros, I try to schedule at least two weeks in advance. If it's our 1st session, then I always offer a call or meeting beforehand.

  • I agree on everyone who books in advance when they travel. Pros are generally very accommodating when I book ahead of time when I do travel. I wonder if they are just more understanding considering I’m coming from out of state or maybe LA pros just aren’t as nice lol

  • I will agree with @Morpheus on this. Many of the LA pros tell me even when it’s a week out to let them know when it’s closer to the date I want to schedule. This has absolutely nothing to do with the weekend. Just a quirk of the LA area.

  • I prefer, but don't mandate, at least a 5 day lead for Friday, Saturday or Sunday, as I travel on the weekends. If I'm available, I'll make the change to my calendar, often though, I'm booked (friends, fam, work). I hate immediate "are you available right now" requests from new accounts because they tend to be fake/scammers who get the ban hammer before sunrise. 😂🤣

  • I like to book a week out. I like to touch base and chat a little leading up to the cuddle. But I rarely get it my way, and thats ok, too 😄

  • Whoops! And when I travel, I prefer the cuddles be set up ahead, due to coordinating my work schedule. I'm not comfortable with last minute (same-day) requests while traveling, unless it's someone I've chatted with previously.

I definitely prefer having bookings made in advance. As of now, I have bookings multiple months out and I love it that way 😀 I’m a planner naturally, my schedule fills up quickly, and I need time to prepare mentally and physically for sessions (when I host, a LOT of cleaning has to happen 😅), so having sessions booked at least a few days out is my preference. Plus, having sessions planned in advance gives me something to look forward to 😊 with that said, I get a fair amount of same day booking requests and if my schedule allows me to accommodate last minute sessions, I’m ok with that, as long as I still have time to do a bit of conversing beforehand and have time to prepare. I don’t understand why pros would be opposed to scheduling sessions in advance, especially given the very legitimate safety concerns inherent in booking with new clients.
