Need Feedback

edited June 2023 in General

I was chatting with a pro-cuddler and asked if we can do 15 mins video call (virtual session). She got mad at me and blocked me she said Pro-Cuddlers would call me as Time waster. What wrong i have done? Why cant i ask for what i need? Of course she has the right to decliney request. But why il-treat me?

Please tell me if i did any mistake. I am ready to apologize if i did anythinf wrong.

See mod notes in comments. Some info here has conveniently been left out (as is usually the case with these venting posts) and that omitted info has resulted in the ban of this now-former member 😑 [Charlie_Bear]

Was the idea to do a pre-meet call to get to know each other first? Had you already booked? Were you willing to pay for the call if necessary, or was she not someone who offered virtual services?

Well, we are only hearing one side of the story here, but if you want my personal opinion you come off as a time waster. If you read a pros profile and ask a couple of basic questions before booking, that should be enough. Not sure if you intended to 'pay' for the 15 minutes virtual session or not, but that seems wholly unnecessary and may come off like you are going after looks and not just cuddles. If you've been blocked you won't be able to apologize. Just take the lesson learned and move on.

The first pro I hired went down like this : I pinged her and asked - where in charlotte are you? I don't want you to have to drive far. She replied where. I replied ok, oh great you are in my area, (I then proceeded to book and had a wonderful session)

Life tip. Have no expectations that things will go your way.

  • Video calls can only happen AFTER you schedule. Read the profile. Lots of pros are now charging for meets/chats, whether in person, via text or video.

  • To piggyback on what @Mman said, as long as you have absolutely zero expectation of ever actually cuddling with anybody from this site, ever, you won't be disappointed... Only pleasantly surprised every 3rd blue moon or so.

Try not to spend too much time retroactively analyzing why an online interaction didn't work out.

    Just move on.

  • I'm pretty sure that sessions are by the hour and not 15 min increments so there's that...

While on the forum you'll find plenty of pros who are open to (or even require) an initial free video chat to see if you each want to proceed, in practice on the site I've run into very few pros who are interested in that. The only interaction with you they will have before being paid is exchanging a couple messages to book a session.

On the one hand this is understandable, as I'm sure they get plenty of actual time wasters, and after all they are here to make money. But it means you have to commit to paying her a decent chunk of money before even knowing if you enjoy her company.

But, whatever, it's just the way things are. Next time I suggest you just message to book a session and see how it goes. Maybe she'll show up and look nothing like her pictures, or be an unpleasant person, or whatever else... but you just have to take the risk.

  • Her profile says:

    "*Virtual calls = $1/minute"

I thought I would start with 15 mins and then based on what we both feel I can extend or setup new time. Below is our conversation:

Can we do a video chat for 15 mins at 7 PM EST today?
    31 May 01:06 pm
    Its a 30 minute minimum...never heard of a 15 minute virtual :)
    31 May 03:12 pm
    No worries. Best of luck!
    31 May 03:14 pm
Im going to take you off my radar ....you are what we Pros call a time waster.

    Then she blocks me.

As such I dont have a problem she blocking me since I realised she is not worth talking but I wanted to understand other's perspective.

  • I am pretty sure that pros can send requests with lower than 1 hour increments. I didn’t realize until recently that pros can also adjust their prices when they send a client a booking proposal whereas clients can’t

Just from the little information that you have provided, it’s hard for me to have an opinion whether I think you sound like a time waster or not. I will say however that I have had pros that love to chat beforehand and some that don’t. Not all people are the same. If I were you, I wouldn’t take it personally but if you see similar reactions in the future, you may have to self assess and make some adjustments.

  • Oh, you were interested in a paid chat... Yeah 15 minutes is an atypical request, but it's also ridiculous for her to call you a time waster in that interaction.

But seriously, you have to not worry about what some random pro you haven't even met says or does. Her opinion should mean absolutely nothing to you.

  • Thank You all who commented and shared their opinion. I feel I do not need to think about some rude lady and spoil my day. I have had great experience in this site and I am sure I will continue to have so.

  • @sunnyboy initially, just send a very brief message indicating your interest. From that point on, follow the Pro's lead.

I am the Pro that declined this request.

Yes, I check the forums often. Thank you for your one sided version.

This guy spent over a week chatting with no intent on booking. Daily profile visits.
The majority of the comments were about him having a high school crush on me, and I should not have even entertained him. I suggested a virtual call for 30 minutes - and after all the time invested into conversations that went nowhere, he cancels it and then suggests 15 minutes which is another waste of my time.

It would have been a different story had we been planning to meet, which we were not.

I am cuddling Full Time and can only entertain serious requests.

OP, dont make me share the screenshots. Be glad I only blocked you. You do not belong on a platonic site.

This is not a personal chat service. You are supposed to message a Pro if you wish to book a service.

  • @Blue_eyed_Queen - Gotta love when information is left out. There's usually more to the story.

@Blue_eyed_Queen Thank you for chiming in.
I looked into this situation and OP is definitely a time waster and also looked to be using the site for dating by "admitting" he was crushing on multiple women here. He's been on the site since 2017 without meeting a single person and had several canceled sessions yet still trying to get personal contact info... yea, he's been banned

I can confirm what @Blue_eyed_Queen is saying is true, and actually came here to say there is more to it than originally stated by OP before I saw her comment.

Also for anyone else wondering…a request for a 15 minute virtual session is something I see when the guy plans on doing something inappropriate during their session. I am not saying this was OP’s intention, but pros have had to deal with this enough that they will block you if they suspect you are gonna pull something like this.

Edit: @netrunner beat me to it!

  • Thank you all sooo much for keeping this a safe place, Mods!

I just want good old fashioned snuggles :-(

  • [Deleted User]MrAdmirer (deleted user)

it's the wanna be creepy cuddlers like the OP that makes life more difficult the rest of us men with pure intentions. It's so easy to sniff them out too. I could tell right away the guy was a liar and a fraud.

  • [Deleted User]Mman (deleted user)

The mods, as usual, have cleaned up the mess.

  • In these kind of stories there's always more to it.

A 15 minute call isn't a serious request and demonstrates that the requestor does not respect the professional. The professional has to make all the preparations for a first meeting with a new client, and then barely gets paid for it..... not ok. Half an hour is the de facto minimum for a virtual session.

  • @Charlie_Bear @CuddleDuncan - People might request a short video call to see if they will be willing to meet in person.

  • @Mike403 that is true, but it's not what was happening in this case.

  • I am always open to a video call when getting ready for a session. I do them for free, in those cases!. :-) I have also gladly accomodated longer calls especially if the person needs extra reassurance before a session, which does happen and is completely okay!

In this case, it sadly did not apply.

  • @Blue_eyed_Queen - Talking about having a crush on certain women on this site is a major red flag that should be instant reported. Nobody is here to date.

  • edited June 2023

@Mike403 Yes, and I should have reported him long before he made that post. Lesson learned for me..... its just hard, We fear retaliation sadly. :(

  • I wonder what the point of a post like this is. Asking for feedback on half a story is obviously not asking for feedback so it needs to be something else. Looking for people to say "oh yeah that person sucks" to make them feel good? It just seems strange.

  • [Deleted User]WriterGF (deleted user)

@JasonCuddles Somebody gets passed because they didn't get what they want so they come on the forums looking to hand out the pitchforks and torches.

  • On the bright side ~ Even though this wasn't an accurate portrayal of reality... They were given some decent feedback.

    So... Go Team?! 🤷‍♀️

I would have felt bad for the OP had @Blue_eyed_Queen not chimed in with their side of the story.
