@pmvines thanks for clarifying. I get it now. In my unsolicited opinion (breaking my own rule 😇) racism is only political if leveraged for a political goal / point scoring. It’s disgusting as a concept and should be universally reviled.
And I’m 100% on board with sushi and several other trends. I knew a guy that tried to cultivate a taste for wine for years… because he felt cultured. He finally just said screw it and admitted he never developed a taste and went back to beer. Mostly IPAs. I’m proud of him for getting real with himself. 😎

And @CharlesGrove I do like coffee, but then again I'm so far gone into my addiction that 2 day old leftover burnt coffee from Waffle House will ease my shakes like an infant suckling from their mother
Coffee is life. Without it, most folks near me in the mornings would not be alive.
Alcohol likes/dislikes are personal. It's YOUR personal chemistry, so if everyone's drinking wine and all it does is give you heartburn? Try something else. I'm good with most stuff except wine with high tannins, and also gin - no can do.
@pmvines There are all sorts of basic human rights which have become "political".
Unfortunately (really unfortunately, these days), alcohol is verboten. Clashes with my diabetes meds.
@pmvines my unsolicited opinion is that I like jazz. But not all jazz. It has to have some sort of melody you can follow. As a drummer, I like how jazz takes the beat and plays around it with syncopation. Dave Weckl is my favorite jazz drummer.

To clarify I do actually like a lot of jazz musicians , they are some of the most talented players around. Every time I'm in New Orleans I try to see the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. (See, I'm a bit of a hypocrite in my posts sometimes , mostly just tongue in cheek lol)
Hhhmmm well I will start by say I love people and believe human kindness goes along way... I am sort of tired of some one sighted political posts crying discrimination and fear, where as most have never felt that. Not everything is about one group. I think individuals need to understand the bigger picture.

Honestly I think alot of groups are using the discrimination Olympics right now in a time where there are enough of us to just sit down, learn and be open and come together and fight against the cause. I guess that's my unsolicited opinion. Because as much social work as I've done or even causes I've worked on there are still things I don't understand. The only thing I can say is I know who is not fighting for mine

We can only talk about what we know, and what we know most is what affects us the most directly. But ignoring someone else's fight because it doesn't affect us directly is very shortsighted. Rev. Niemoller wrote a poem about that.

There's no need for people to vandalize cybercars. They fall apart entirely fine on their own. And sometimes even spontaneously catch fire with people trapped inside, with doors and windows that can't be opened.

I don't think the cybercar would have been seen as quite as ugly if they were trying to make a sports car instead of calling something a truck that has none of the features of a truck. And maybe if it had been designed by engineers instead of Marketing and Finance.
And at least Pintos didn't catch fire all on their own. And you could get out of the car if it did.
