If there is anyone who is interested in this event happening, please let me know so I can add you to my email list. As of now there is only one person other than myself who is on board for this.  @Snuggle554321, who is a professional cuddler, is the other person, and I have some consent training, plus @FireAndBlue said she would share the materials from her event with me, so I think it will be a pretty good event.  It should be very similar to the one put on by @FireAndBlue, including being non-profit.  Once we have enough signups, I'll firm up the plans.  Ideas from others are certainly welcome.

Ok this was an awesome start to my day!

 I need to figure out how to get my materials to you, right now they are on paper in my journal and not in an online or email type of format.  My week and weekend look crazy, but I can try to spend some time typing it up. I'm old-school (pen and paper)!

@FireAndBlue highly recommended Marriott Resident Inns, and after looking at a couple of different options online, I agree with her.  So the event, If enough people get on board, will be at Residence Inn Los Angeles Pasadena/Old Town.  The overnight rate there is $274.00, so 10 to 12 people will make the rate $25 to $30 or so depending on the cost of food.

 I am so excited that you have a good solid interest. Also, you could ask that each person donate a food item...  that could keep costs down.  I built the cost into my $30 per person payment. 

I love that the Residence Inn has a full-size kitchen, refrigerator, stove top and dishwasher with real dishes pots and pans, silverware etc.  in the studio suite rooms don't have another door to close off anyone from the party, keeping everything the public and no worries about awkwardness behind closed doors.  

For food, I also have a crockpot with three separate compartments and I might be famous for always showing up with my hot party dips, so i am making spinach dip, Buffalo chicken dip, and crab dip (because, Maryland)

 Also at my gathering we are serving chips and salsa, guacamole, seven layer dip,  hummus and pita chips, cheese and crackers, fruit platter, veggie platter and waters/sodas.   Just for some ideas. My hotel cost was $191, I think it is a little lower here on the East Coast. 

 Anything else I'm able to do, or if you want me to share other things I'm planning for our gathering I'm happy to!

 This came to mind with my own party planning, Residence Inn guest rooms have plates, bowls, cups, mugs and flatware for six people so you will also need disposable plates and utensils

@FireAndBlue  I tried to respond to your latest PM, but there was a problem in sending it. Please send me an email, and I'll copy and paste what I wrote to an email.

@  everyone else  FireAndBlue is in Maryland and is having her own event, but she has graciously offered to help me with mine by providing me with the materials that she has already done the work on.  I could probably put on my event without her help, but I think it will be a much better one with her help.  Please address your queries regarding the Pasadena event to me, not to her, since she has her own things to work on, including converting her materials to a format that she can email to me.  The following 2 paragraphs were copied from a PM she sent me, which I am pasting here with her permission.

"I have planned mine to start at 5 PM and be over at 8 PM, although I am
open to people staying until 9 or 10. And if they would like to
continue hanging out at the fire pit area outside, they are obviously
free to do that even longer. Two of my best girlfriends are going to be
staying the night, but my invitation clearly states it is not an
overnight. That no men are staying overnight. That no one under 18
years old is able to attend.



Also, I have gone on other cuddle party, and the cuddalist, and cuddle
up to me business pages and looked through their terms of agreement,
along with the rules and regulations of this page, and formed a Cuddle
Contract by picking and choosing wording that seems to be in all of the
terms of agreement across the board. Each member has to agree to those
terms when they pay $30 online through PayPal in advance. I will also
have each person sign a paper copy when they come in person. It
basically outlines asking permission before touching, getting a verbal
yes or no, that minimum garments of tank top and shorts are worn, no
touching in private areas etc."

I pretty much agree with everything she says.  I plan on my event being on a Sunday from 5pm to 9pm (but I won't kick you out until 10), with a planned potluck.  I am open to having 1 or 2 women cuddlers stay overnight if they want to, but definitely not overnight for everyone.  I don't think there is any 18 year olds even on this site is there?  But definitely no one under 18 will be allowed to attend.

I think that having people pay up front is a great idea to prevent me from being stuck paying more than I really can afford to.  However, other than having them mail a check to my PO Box, I have no way of receiving payments.  I don't have and don't want a Paypal account.  If anyone has any ideas on this, please let me know in PM or email.  Also, at this point I am unsure of how much each payment will be, since I don't know if the $274.00 includes tax or not.  I will trust the wording of the Cuddle Contract that she has apparently put in a lot of work on coming up with.  I greatly appreciate all the work she has done on that and other things as well.

You are absolutely welcome… If people want to go onto the websites for CUDDLE PARTY, CUDDLE UP TO ME and CUDDLIST, and including the terms of service for this site, I basically took the general idea and re-worded things a little, all of them are almost identical general rules. No surprises,  just common sense PLATONIC non sexual cuddle rules. 

Your event us is going to be awesome. I'm hoping to do these regularly.

Even though I really don't like the idea of having a PayPal account, I bit the bullet, and opened one anyway, in order to make this event happen.  Now all we need is a few more women to get on board, and then I can set a specific date.

It seems that the room rates at the Marriott Residence Inn varies quite a bit, depending on when you want the room, so the individual cost coud be considerably less than the $30 mentioned previously, depending on exactly when I decide to have the event.  I have cross posted this to the Naughty Los Angeles Meetup Group, so if you want to be included, let me know right away.  if there are more people wanting to attend than I have spots for, I'll book the ones who pay first, and keep everyone else on my list for the next event, if this one is as successful as I think it is going to be.

What is the Naughty Los Angeles Meet up Group? That's a strange name for a platonic cuddle group.

It is a group that is run by Sienna Sinclair, the author of the book 'A Naughty Girls Guide To Los Angeles'.  She uses the term 'naughty', but not all of her events are naughty, and some are more so than others.  A lot of the people there seem to be into sensuality, which fits right in with cuddling.  I was very specific in posting it as a platonic non-sexual cuddle event.  I have also posted it to a few other groups, since then.

Since the event is gonna take place later than I thought, I won't be able to attend since im a professor and the second half of the semester is always rough.

there will be professional cuddlers there, but they  will not be charging extra.  There are at this point 3 women and 5 men confirmed, but I will respect their privacy, and not list their names.  They are perfectly welcome to tell you if they wish.

I would be all for a cuddle party event but it seems a little strange to me to be mixing a cuddle event with members from this site with a "naughty" LA site. Seems that goes against the principles of this site.

Also, if everyone is splitting the cost of the room shouldn't everyone have the choice whether they want to spend the night or not? Unless of course ALL the males leave after 9pm and the females spend the night in the room would be fair also.

By the way, the cuddle parties that I have been to before have been about four hours long. The first hour they go over the rules and practice them. Then it is three hours of cuddling. Once the introduction to the rules starts they do not allow anyone to come in. Late arrivals simply miss out.  That way  everyone knows that everyone who is there got the exact same training in the rules. It makes it a much safer environment because no one can say that they didn't know... whatever. 

I've heard from other parties that the doors close at a certain time and after that time no one is allowed to enter.  But would the doors be locked at 1pm sharp or 1:05-1:10?  I'm personally a stickler for being on time and never liked when seminars would "wait 10-15 minutes" for others to arrive before starting their lectures. That's a disservice to timeliness and to those who bothered to show up on time.  Sounds like there are a lot of things that need to be finalized for the event but it's good people are voicing concerns and ideas.

@masterofcuddle  People from whatever site will all abide by the same rules.  You seem pretty judgemental of people you have never met based strictly on the name of a group they may happen to be a member of.  I have no desire to create bad PR with the hotel by having multiple people stay all night when the room was rented by only me.  It seems to me that you should organize your own event, if you feel so strongly about what the rules should be.

@snuggle554321 & @chococuddles  I had planned on putting in a private email to those attending the final details including the time the door will be locked.  Since there will be a planned pot luck at the beginning of the event, I will be somewhat lenient about arrival time, but 5:15 seems like a reasonable time after which no one will be admitted, even with the pot luck.
