Stepping out of comfort zone - First time at a group cuddle event

I attended my first Community Cuddles event in Boulder, CO and it was very rough on me until the end. Asking a stranger whom I never met before to cuddle with them felt so awkward that I sat an observed for a little bit and was feeling too anxious to approach anyone. I plan on attending the monthly event more often in hopes that it will become easier as I see more familiar faces.

    Never been to one before Mike and just walk up and ask the worst they could say is no and who cares if they say no as guys we are all too used to being rejected 😂😂😂😂 but on the bright side if they say yes, awesome!
    As they say in baseball you can’t get a hit unless you swing at the ball or something like that.

    @cylee1180 - yep. The one I went to is a ticketed event. ($25) The first hour is learning about consent/boundaries and doing exercises then an hour and half of cuddling.

    @Mike403 I'm glad you made it out! Was my first event as well and I was super anxious and a tad overwhelmed at times. But I'm so glad I finally dragged my butt to an event!

    That was my same experience, though I am very glad I went. I cannot ask someone to cuddle in person. It’s way too awkward for me and I am way too anxious.

    @Charlie_Bear - I asked them for a hug after introducing myself. I never got the courage to ask somebody to cuddle. Since it's a monthly event with regulars that attend every month, I'm hoping each time it will be easier.
