Anyone else changing up their hair? Or have a unique hair color? Want to share pics? 😍πŸ₯°

I feel a bit awkward asking everyone what I should do with my hair but I'm bored with the brown and this seems like a good place to get multiple unbiased opinions. I'm debating on either going blonde or going a bit darker, maybe a reddish dark brown/close to black. I see some pretty random posts on here so I hope this is safe. I understand if this gets deleted by mods.
I would also love to see everyone's unique hair styles! 😍 Please feel free to share pictures here, whether just to show us or to ask for opinions if you're thinking about a color change like I am. πŸ₯°β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ

  • I think you look great in the brown, but would also look good with red! Have fun!

I've never gotten an all-over color, just tried highlights once. 😊 I'm constantly debating chopping it all off... I did cut off more than half of it and donated it to kids with burn injuries, and then I got a perm. I'm enjoying the bounce, and when I blow-dry it, the fullness is incredible! 🀭

  • Thank you @SunsetSnuggles , I love red, I used to be a little goth girl in high school so I absolutely loved the contrast with my pale skin. I looked like a little vampire. πŸ¦‡ I dyed it red this year though hoping for a similar look but unfortunately the red brought out my red tones and acne scars. I chopped a lot of my hair off a couple years ago because it was so damaged from years of bleaching and dyeing. The perm sounds beautiful though 😍 I recommend chopping it all off to anyone with damaged hair. It's great to just say screw it and start over and it grows back so much healthier. It sounds like your hair is already pretty healthy though

  • And you sound like a very kind person 😊😊

I love your hair!! I recently chopped mine and love it. Some people aren’t into it for themselves.
    I’d say keep the color.

  • Your hair roo @stormydaycuddle 😍

  • Looks so natural on you but stands out at the same time

  • This is me as a blonde years ago. (It's just a bb gun but completely understand if mods want to delete this) I loved the blonde but for some reason I don't take myself as seriously when I dye it blonde

  • With your eye and skin color, I bet a nice chestnut red intermixed with your darker brown would be beautiful.

  • I think everyone who has commented on this has beautiful hair. I suppose I'm more basic, as I just leave my hair alone (aside from combing, washing, and detangling it). 😊 I enjoy a good hair discussion, though! 😁

@RebeccaKe - I think the current color and blonde both look cute, Hon. Reddish dark brown would probably be cute, too! 😊

Well, my vote would be redhead. B) I think it would complement your skin tone very well.

  • @RebeccaKe Aww, thank you! Also, for giggles, I thought I'd mention that I always read your name as Rebecca Cake. πŸŽ‚πŸ˜ƒ How is it meant to be read? Hehe

@SoftHairForDays I usually do nothing with my hair once out of the shower; that's why I got the perm, haha. I watch my relatives spend time curling their hair and doing stuff to it for hours every weekend and I just don't have it in me. So one and done, now I have curls that don't go away! 🀭 My hair was naturally wavy, anyway (the picture in my profile showing my hair is just natural and air-dried, prior to the perm).

  • @SunsetSnuggles years ago I had a different profile and I went by Keira. I was off the site for a while and when I came back on I asked one of the mods if I could just make a new profile since I had dealt with some creepers on the old profile. Wanted a new start. So I figured for safety I should use a new name too. Rebecca was taken. I think I was too impatient to think of something else to add so I just went with the first two letters of my old profile name. A lot of people read it as "cake" though but I don't remember if that was my intention. I've accepted it though lol πŸ°πŸŽ‚

  • @RebeccaKe - You could of added a number to the end of your name like I did. The 403 is meaningless. :)

Your hair looks great, I love the messy up-do 😍
I'm a big fan of under color like taking the underneath layer and going bright red or blonde... Then it kinda plays peek-a-boo and pops out a little bit at a time πŸ’–
These are some of my crazy hair ideas over the last several years πŸ’œ

  • @RebeccaKe ~ burgundy mixed with strawberry highlights (semi permanent without pre-bleaching) might be pretty sweet.

  • @TampaCuddlePro ~ that blue looks so good on you!!

  • @CosmicKitten that second picture especially with the purples, blues and pinks omg πŸ₯ΊπŸ₯ΊπŸ€©πŸ€©πŸ˜ I would do that in a heart beat if it didn't require so much bleaching. Wow. So beautiful. And really love the blue on @TampaCuddlePro 🀩🀩🀩

  • @CosmicKitten is it just the lighting or is it black underneath? 🀩

  • I had it silver years ago with black underneath

  • @CosmicKitten do you have any more pics of that style? 🀩

I've done every color of the rainbow plus white, silver, grey, brunette, different shades of blonde, and my natural black hair. Plus different designs, split-tone, checker board, etc. I think the only color I have not done is a true auburn.

I think blonde is usually produces a startling difference if you want a different look and have had dark hair for a while. I think the common mistake people do with blonde is go for the extreme washed out platinum blonde with brassy roots. It's too flat and has no dimension. I'd recommend going to a professional salon and a stylist that specializes in blonde hair because they can add depth and know if a warmer or cooler tone of blonde works for you. Be aware blonde is the most damaging to your hair as you're using more bleach, so be sure you moisturize with hair masks, use toning shampoo, and reduce UV exposure to maintain it.

Your skin tone is paler, and that usually works well with auburn. So a potential avenue to explore.

If you want to try vivid hair colors, purple is usually a very forgiving color for most folks and fades/tones the hair well.

I can definitely PM you photos of hair colors I've done in the past if you want. I have a few on my profile, but it doesn't touch the variety I've done haha.

  • @w8ed_blanket thank you, and yes I'd love to see either here or in a private chat. I'm afraid I'll get attached to one of the colors though and end up saying screw it and bleaching my hair and dyeing it red, blue, etc. I've used manic panic and lunar tides colors on my brown hair and they don't show as much as I'd like. I haven't bleached my hair since I cut it short a few years back and I've tried to be good.

  • It got to a point it was so damaged and dry it wouldn't even hold much color anymore and expensive treatments did very little to help

  • I just did!! Although I hear πŸ‘‚ Venus is going into retrograde in Leo, and we are likely to be compelled to change up the hair… but better off if we delay until it the retrograde is over πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ I’m diggin mine tho!

  • @RebeccaKe ty! My color is natural. Hope you find one you like!

  • @CosmicKitten @TampaCuddlePro Love the sapphire on both of you! πŸ’™

  • @natalieoncello I was brave (or maybe just reckless) and went and got a haircut during mercury retrograde πŸ˜† didn't turn out bad but maybe a bit shorter than I wanted. That would be a good idea to wait though but not sure I'll have the patience now that I bought the dye lol. Is it anything like mercury retrograde where appearance changes might backfire/not go as planned?

  • @RebeccaKe I think it’s something like that ! Not totally sure…. I suppose hair and changing the hair is a kind of Venusian activity and not advised during retrograde
