I had a lady? contact me the other day asking if Id like to cuddle. Of course I said, well it went on for a little bit with messages in cuddlecomfort mail and then she asked for my e-mail and I gave her one and we ennded up chatting on hangouts. I wont get into the entire story as it is kinda long. We chatted for a couple day annd then she wanted to cuddle but was a thousand miles away. I told her I was broke and couldnt afford to travel 100 miles much less a 1000 and she said she'd come to me. Red flag. I thought ok Ill play and then she asked if she could help me with some of my bills. Red flag. So I played this out a llittle and told her she could send me a money order and she said "her companny"  didnt allow sending cash or MOs. Red flag.  She asked me the balance on my card and I told her it was maxed out at $5000. She said shed pay it off so she could load it up and then travel to see me. BIG RED flag.  Yesterday she told me her "manager" Red Flag, said I needed to send my full name my CC number the CCV number my SSN and my DOB. Yup thats what I knew when she first asked to cuddle a 60 year old man a thousand miles away.  That simply doesnt happen in real life. So I blocked her on hangouts annd I blocked and reported her to cuddle comfort last evenig. Cuddle comfort was on that fast and shes been banned.  Thank you for banning her and now Im going to out her e-mail name. Watch out for an Emily Davis.  She used differant names while chatting and in the email I recieved this morning but it was all coming from Emily Davis and I am almost positive Ive seen that name on some kind of e-mail scam involing a couple million dollars and the need to tranfer that mony to the US.  Use cautionn with this Name. The person is very good, all the times stamp and times zones were correct and her english was very good with only a few mistakes. I make more english mistakes than she did and if I wasnt so non trusty they might have had me. Im retired disabiled and sometimes bored out of my mind so I like to play with these scammers. Ive been doing this for well over 10 years and I am very good at spotting scammers. They lose everytime with me. So remember Emily Davis.  I hope I didnt violate any rules by outing this person. Im hopeing I can save someone a lot of problems by ratting her out.  Have a great day Cuddlers..   Peace

Yes Mr Solo I did report it last night and they were banned by the time I woke up this morning.  I kinda thought the same rollypolly.

I understand that some people don't recognize the red flags, but I don't know how they can miss them.  They are certainly obvious to me.  Maybe it is just my high IQ.  I've been known to play around with some scammers as well.  It is good to know I'm not the only one.

I've been getting word about some other potential scam artists on here which have been reported also.

This board just gets funnier and funnier.

I would like to bring up a point about going off the site to receive photos, this can put you at risk of receiving Malware or like and that is something you do not want, because a picture or photo can be large the Malware or lockout system is in the photo, it dose need you to open it and save it to your computer. @mark has a great system here and it works, if in doubt do not allow someone to send a photo off the site unless you know them well.

This is why there is the rule about communications going through this site only. While most may be perfectly innocent in their request, this rule protects us against that tiny criminal minority.

@mark I would love it if CuddleComfort would require a photo to be uploaded on every user's profile. No photo is just an automatic "I can send you pics via text and/or email" situation. Thanks for listening!

Lol wow I think this is happening to me right now. Saw a girl look at my profile from new York so i thought there would be no chance. I messaged her asking her to critique my profile cause im not the hottest dude in town and no women talk to me on here. She immediately replies asking for my number. I thought it was weird buy I gave it anyway. Next day shes basically talking about moving out here to be with me. I'm starting to feel strange about the whole thing. She seems simple minded but i could see how she coiuld get some more lonely men then i. Anyway today shes blowing up my phone like a weirdo stalking asking if im there if I did t respond within 5 minutes. She then asked me to buy her an iTunes gift card. This is where I'm like... this is all a scam to play some poor dude. Glad/hope she's not a real person because she seems painfully desperate. I can see how that might work on some.

Just a point of caution: Don't play with the scammers. I understand that it's tempting, but you have NO idea who is on the other side of the conversation, nor do you know what they're capable of doing to keep someone from reporting their scam. In my day job, we don't hack back at the hackers coming at us for this reason. We simply block and move on.

I had someone on here within the first message they sent give an email address and anything I'd send to them would get an automated response to things I didn't even say or ask. I reported the profile as a fake account, but crazy that they took that weird route to try to get your info

@funandadventure you can't get a virus/malware from a picture sent as an attachment in an email.... but you can from a link to an infected site. so if someone doesn't want to upload their picture on the site but is still willing to send it by email, as long as it's an attachment and not a link, then it'll be okay.

Dear reurbo, Thank you for that, how do you know with push systems if it is only an attachment and not a link, once you have opened it the push system activates and you now have a link, which you can not escape from.

 Hey I am re posting this from earlier when I stuck it in the wrong section… There is a woman in Los Angeles who is from Australia and sent me an email with a link, it was sent to my website. When I clicked on the link (which I assumed I was responding to her email) I was taken to what seemed like a dead end website. 

I copied and pasted what was in her email in the other thread. 

 Basically beware of people who contact you outside of the website. And don't click on emails or a link if you don't know who the sender is.
