An interesting article 💖

What worked for Ike could work for us. The mystery is, why medicine has so little to say about the healing power of partnerships. Why don’t more doctors prescribe activity and cuddling as facilely as they do surgery and drugs?
I suspect because the medical industrial complex hasn’t found a way to monetize lifestyle changes & cuddling.
Laughter, cuddles, and sunshine would probably cure most ailments.
(This is only my unsolicited, unprofessional, medically unlicensed opinion. Please don't freak out.)
@JohnR1972 and @TxTom Exactly!!!! No money for them. Good for us though and our health!!
@Nature_Lover_ I actually already had that article pulled up to read. Now I have read it, thanks! Great article!
@JohnR1972 and @TxTom Well said! 😊 @CuddleHugs01234 Wpuld love to see other articles that you've got saved!
@Nature_Lover_ Thank you for posting that article. I had read similar things before but it is encouraging to hear more people writing about it 😊
@TxTom lol, love the disclaimer
Great story. Just a testament how cuddling can comfort the mind and body.
@robroo yes! And fascilitate healing 💖
@Nature_Lover_ That’s the only one I had pulled up. I believe I saw it on the forum somewhere. If I see other interesting ones though, I can let you know.
So do I need a doctor's note to cuddle? Lol
@Jova114 - Maybe someday we can pay for cuddles with a healthcare saving account (HSA) 😂
@JohnR1972 That would be fantastic!! Definitely won't happen here in the United States lol
“A merry heart does good like a medicine….” Can’t get much merrier than a good cuddle.
@JohnR1972 that would probably require a receipt from the pro for you to submit and that's probably not happening
Well, for what it's worth, I got onto this site because my therapist/counselor suggested that I try to find professional cuddlers (she didn't recommend this or any other site in particular).
@AllAboutSoul - I don’t think the cuddle lobby has enough political clout to get medical reimbursement laws changed any time soon 😂
@AllAboutSoul and @JohnR1972 hopefully it won’t be covered. They would raise the rates to $250 to $300 an hour, you’d have lots of paperwork to do, and only get a small payment after they did the allowable charges. 🤣
@CuddleHugs01234 - good point!
This article is very true.
@JohnR1972 Gracias!
@CuddleHugs01234 Absolutely spot on. The. They would start itemizing sheets, cleaning supplies, mints and so on to get that covered by insurance. You do not want insurance companies involved. They kill all incentives for both the client and the pro.
@BoomerSpooner Yep, there are more steps than just showing up and cuddling. Much prep has to be done.
What about toothpaste and floss too? 🤣
And would being an enthusiast be illegal because no one is making money off of it?
Would pros need certain certifications?
Best just kept as is.
