What is this feature?

I clicked activity, trying to find my forum notifications, I found this empty page instead.
Is this a newsfeed, like where we can post announcements to clients?
If so, where does it pop up for them?

This would be so cool, I often have lil announcements and feel bad spamming people! :)

    There are some forum features we don't intend to be used or be public that just happen to come with the forum software currently used. What you posted is one of them and probably won't exist when we move to a new software soon.
