- I'm sorry to hear about your situation but I can relate. Being 51, I honestly feel most women would rather not cuddle with an older man. Sometimes, I even get the impression that us older men can be viewed as old and disgusting which is unfortunate.
I do hope I'm wrong but beautiful young ladies are looking for good looking men close to their own age and that's to be expected so I just accept that fact. We too were once there age, so I see that as normal.
In the defense of the older men, well, I believe we are more in touch with our feelings, are more likely to be trusted and keep a session strictly platonic. We're also grounded, caring, generous and great listeners.
I would be willing to pay far more than the $80.00 per hour session with the right professional cuddlist. In fact, I don't think she wouldn't need to see another client for the rest of the day or evening and paying for an overnight wouldn't be a problem. I have seen some post overnights for $600 which isn't bad at all and certainly affordable.
So please try to look at it this way. Men our age usually don't have a roommate, own our homes, have financial stability and as mentioned, are far less likely to seek turning any time together into a sexual encounter.
Most cuddlist on here are younger women but that doesn't mean older women don't exist. In fact, through research, I have found an abundance of them so do yourself a favor and seek them out. You will be glad you did because older men need affection too. Good luck.

The only problem with the age thing is that there are both clients and pros that aren't always honest about their age.

I'd rather be ignored than get a "thanks but no thanks." I'll get the hint and am thankful they didn't waste my time. I know others have a different view on this. It's not professional but it does some nice weeding out. ^_^

I had a failed cuddling attempt with a pro in CT yesterday. I was traveling to her area, and we had agreed to meet for a cuddle at her place at 10:30 am. Once I arrived in her area on Monday morning, made several attempts to contact her, via this site and by text (her request) with no response, seems like she just blew me off with no explanation. She never gave me her address which probably should have been a red flag. I know she's still "active" because her profile shows that was active on this site as recently as only 11 hours ago, which is about 7 hours AFTER we were supposed to meet. Surprisingly, there is several very positive comments on her profile. As of 8 am Tuesday I still have not heard anything from her.
I'm ok with a cuddler cancelling, but without any word sux.

@CarlosHunt
, Sorry you got stood up. Please consider leaving some appropriate karma for the cuddler, both as a warning to potential clients and as incentive for the pro not to do that going forward. it's one thing not to get back to prospects/potential clients (bad enough in my view), but another thing entirely to confirm an appointment and then go radio silent. I regularly make appointments with cuddle pros in distant places when I travel, and reliability matters a lot to me.

Reasons , to give to the pro , to provide an address , for you before you leave :
you may find yourself with no cellular signal , when you get to a general area .

@quietman775
Per Site policy, you can only leave karma post cuddle session. I have left bad karma twice for two pros that elected to ignore me but the bad karma was removed.

Yeah, I appreciate it's frustrating but I don't want to punish Pros for being selective with choice of client. It's something we promote as a benefit, and considering we don't vet clients I think it's important to allow for that flexibility. The downside to that is Pros will sometimes not proceed based on gut feeling which won't always be correct or rational.

Funny , that's not the way I read the adventure . The pro approved him , I assume , ( after several messages ) and sent him to a particular geographical area , and never made herself availible .

@sparky
blue eyes- that's correct. We had an agreement - or so I thought - to meet at her place at 10:30 AM on Monday and she went silent that same morning after I was in the area. Fortunately I was in the area on business so I didn't take a 2 hour drive for nothing.
@Mark
I can give you her details if you want to contact her - I'm just curious to find out what happened. I see she's still active on this site -

I would advise to report last minute cancellations (or going silent) like this. Not necessarily for the purpose of immediate punitive action but instead so there is a record of it in case it becomes a regular occurrence of unprofessional behaviour.

@Mark
, I see your point
,
but I would argue that the time for a pro to be "selective with choice of client" is before an appointment is set. This thread was originally about Pros ignoring inquiries from potential clients. And while I find that practice somewhat frustrating, I can accept that it is apparently part of this business. But what CarlosHunt posted about was different. He had a
confirmed appointment for a specific date and time.
He got stood up. Even if a pro felt the need to cancel a confirmed appointment on some gut feeling, doing so without communicating with the client --- just leaving him hanging --- doesn't seem right. What his misadventure and the original topic of this thread have in common is that we are struggling to define a baseline expected level of courtesy between professionals and their clients or potential clients.

And maybe, just maybe she'll be more considerate to the next potential customer -

I agree with you. That particular scenario is very unprofessional and I would recommend using the report function so I can investigate and also can find out if it is representative of the Pro's general conduct.

@Mark
what would happen to a client if the tables were turned and he did what the pro did in this case? Would the said client be reprimanded in any way?

Yes, most likely a warning would be given as I expect it will be in this particular case.

I did have a very pleasant experience. I had a pro who ignored me recently, at least that was my perception. Things escalated into a bit of an argument off site and we both blocked each other. Well last night, we talked it out, both apologized and unblocked each other. It's been my experience on this site that once someone is upset at you and persecutes you, it's over and there's no coming back. It's actually very sad in my opinion that it has to be that way. The pro I'm talking about and myself talked it out and we are good now. I'm grateful she and I were able to work through that issue.

Interesting - The cuddler in question keeps visiting my profile, but she has yet to contact me to apologize.

Have you contacted her and asked for an explanation?

I messaged her, texted, and even called several times Monday morning and she has yet to respond.

i made an appointment with a cuddler who works for another company. I was driving to her and received a message while driving that she wanted to postpone because she stated that she was sick. I was not happy about being informed after driving, but I was willing to try again and make another appointment. I texted her a few days before that I wanted to talk to her. I had a time and day that I was going to talk on the phone with her, but then she texted me that she is busy cleaning her home. I decided that if she could not take a few minutes of her time to talk to me that I should use the money I prepaid with another cuddler, so I did. I requested someone else and the company transferred payment to another cuddler employee.

I have
yet
to
not
respond to a potential session but
also
have to be
strict and firm
when they think that they can get away with asking me to wear just
underwear
or tell me they want "complete" skin to skin contact. I've had my share of
good with bad
. Like I said I don't ignore but I
do
have to tell them straight no, or compromise to keep cuddling "
pure
."
