Dates?

I know this is a cuddle site but has anyone ever gone on platonic dates? Like going to a bar or park instead of cuddling.

  • Yes. Every year I celebrate my birthday by going out to a nice restaurant with one of my Pros.

  • Dates are nature’s candy and I pass them out to cuddle partners all the time.

  • I’ve meet a cuddler at a restaurant to get to know them better. First time meeting them. Ate and cuddled a bit.

  • Yes
I had a platonic date with a Pro.
We meet at a restaurant and ate and just talked.
    She's a good friend now

  • I steer hella clear of the word "date" under all circumstances, and I never think of spending time with cuddle friends as a date or a platonic date. It's just doing stuff as friends...AKA hanging out!

So from that perspective, yes, I've done all sorts of fun stuff with my cuddle buddies. Meals, movies, snowshoeing, riding bikes, shopping, mountain drives, the aquarium, on and on.

I am an enthusiast and so are most of my cuddle friends, so there is no money being exchanged here, and I prefer to go Dutch so there is no confusion as to what is going on. 😊

  • I wouldn’t call it a date as you wouldn’t t call hanging out with your non romantic friends or family a date . But yes , people do things outside of just cuddling in closed quarters all the time . That’s pretty on par with the concept of public cuddles too, like at a movie or restaurant or park etc

  • Yes. I've done happy hours, dinners, and most recently an outing to an art gallery with pro cuddlers. Just have to be transparent and up front in your conversations ahead of time. Are you paying her for her time and/or are you covering all expenses related to the outing, or both?

For me, it's worked out that the cuddlers didn't charge for time during the social portion, but I covered all expenses. Then, of course I paid appropriately for the cuddle time that followed.

Again, as long as both people are on the same page, everything is good.

  • Awesome question!

Yes, platonic dates are so much fun ☺️ plus living in the city is so convenient because we have an array of unique places to go on platonic dates here. I am always shocked 😮 but never disappointed on the platonic dates I’ve experienced !!!

Totally! Like everyone else said.... Not dates, but hanging out doing something other than cuddling ☺️

I've done it tons and it's always a blast to do something different. Cuddling is a blast too....just changing things up is fun.

@TxTom That's a fantastic idea...love it! 💗 Getting dressed up and being fancy is always fun too 💄👠🎩

  • As long as everyone is paying Dutch so there’s no confusion.

I have hung out with friends I have made here, enthusiasts and pros here (none were a paid public session) and have done tons of stuff. I def wouldn’t call any of it a date. Just hanging out and sometimes getting some cuddles in after.

    @Jova114 sounds cute

  • There are so many ways to describe doing an activity with someone besides calling it a "date."

I do not go on "dates."

But yes I love a good platonic rendezvous with fellow pro cuddlers, enthusiasts, and my cuddle clients. ☺️❤️💯 From movies, to concerts, art galleries and more....it's fun way to bond over activities before or after cuddling. I feel it adds to the experience of being close to someone in a vulnerable way.

I like connection, not every professional on this site is me, however. So be aware of that with others time and energy. ☺️❤️

  • @4TheSnugs
It was. I asked to hang out in a public place and she said 'sure I'd love to have a platonic date'.
She picked a restaurant, nothing fancy. Just a bar n grill. And we sat and just got to know each other better.
    She's such an awesome person!!
I told her if any cuddlers cross a line with her let me know so I can rough em up lol

  • So much time is spent arguing semantics around here. Does a date have to be romantic or sexual? I never thought that was the case. Can you be intimate without being sexual? I literally thought that was the actual definition ; close, personal, private.

Shouldn’t the focus just be setting healthy boundaries? Relax or tighten them as necessary. I’ve literally had friends my whole life I would be happy to take on dates and never once touch other than say a kind welcoming hug. Yet here we are a group of people that would cuddle or get close in public but refuse to call it a date.

🤷🏻‍♂️ Am I going to be added to a watch list for asking a logical question there is a wide range of beliefs on?

I hear you, @NickWk - it feels like a lot of time is spent dissecting every word and every intention. Words like date, intimate, "skin on skin", caress, and even profiles with lots of cat pictures get scrutinized. I agree it can be exhausting.

However, it is for the most part, it's a necessary evil. Because the alternative is having a community where double-entendres are used deliberately by those seeking sexual activity. When you have people who regularly violate the terms of service despite the community repeatedly saying, "This is a platonic-only site" it forces the community to err on the site of caution. When you have guys looking for any hint, any clue, or any signal that maybe the girl they're cuddling who said 100 times she's only looking for platonic affection is willing to exchange sex for money with a little...encouragement, then yes, as frustrating as it is, an overemphasis on words and their intent is the natural result of that kind of environment.

As to the question about being placed on a watch list... of course not, friend, why would you think that? (Don't let the guy with the binoculars frighten you. He's just a bird-watcher that got lost.) 😈

  • When I make plans with a friend I call it a 'play date', and when meeting someone from here it's a 'potential play date'. So yeah, I call them 'dates'. But I wouldn't advise anyone else adopt the term because, as I'm sure one could imagine, people think it's weird/cringy.
