Hey friends! I love to cuddle with a movie.. and 80’s movies are my fav. Anyone else? My top picks: Transformers the ORIGINAL 1986 movie Neverending Story Bill & Teds Excellent Adventure Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles The Last Starfighter
I was born in 1981. I love movies from this era. My favorite thing is understanding all the adult jokes that I missed when I was a kid.
The following aren't necessarily my top picks, but just fun ones I remember. It's impossible to rank these, IMO.
Flight of the Navigator Short Circuit Voyage of the Mimi (mini-series) The Beastmaster The Princess Bride Weird Science The Wraith Any John Cusack movie Howard the Duck Airplane Spaceballs
I can definitely go on.
Duh! Of course! 😉😂
The Goonies The Princess Bride Short Circuit Beetlejuice Back to the Future Ghostbusters E.T. Dirty Dancing The Color Purple Star Wars Indiana Jones franchise
Lost Boys Better off Dead Heathers Back to the Future Ghostbusters Sixteen Candles The Breakfast Club Ferris Bueller’s Day Off Pretty In Pink Adventures in Babysitting Can’t Buy Me Love Risky Business Ahhhhh all the great movies
I think about Ferris Bueller's Day Off way too much. Do The Right Thing & Child's Play are also super memorable.

All the nostalgia in this post is making me want to curl up and never leave the house this weekend!!
Me.
I have a special spot for 80s action movies. Growing up, they were a genre my father and I could appreciate together despite a language barrier which made it challenging for him to follow more dialogue-heavy movies. Die Hard, Commando, Predator, Robocop, Raiders of The Lost Ark, Aliens etc. Yes please!
Being an 80s and 90s kid myself, yes I dig watching 80s movies many movies (of various generes) in MY movie collection are 80s movies.😁
LOL! I even dig watching 80s cartoons too, why right now I am watching JEM (and The Holograms😉) and YES even all these years: JEM IS STILL TRULY OUTRAGEOUS! TRULY TRULY TRULY OUTRAGEOUS! 😍🤩😍🤩
I bought JEM seasons one and two (on dvd) for Christmas for my son, he loves'em. 😁
@Katota JEM!!!! OMG I almost forgot about Jem 🤩
Well my weekend is now planned with an 80s movie marathon 🤣
I literally just surprised a phenomenal cuddler with a trip to see a DeLorean at a car museum, yesterday afternoon. 🔥🕘

OMG...80's movies were the best! My Favs... "Some Kind of Wonderful," "Witness" with Harrison Ford "Ferris Burller Day Off "Hollywood Shuffle" Robert Townsend "The Last Dragon" characters... Bruce LeeRoy, SnoNuff, Vanity...too funny When you get time... Check'em out if you haven't send them. Happy New Year's everybody!
@SunsetChi You had me at The Last Dragon!😄😁
Julius Carry was awesome as The Shogun of Harlem, Taimak was unforgettable as Bruce Leroy Green, you know he catches bullets with his teeth! I SEENT IT! I SEENT HIM DO IT!😆😆😆 And Vanity lovely as ever, she was a horrible singer (with the exception of Nasty Girls, she was mostly TALKING in that one😉) but her acting was tolerable to me. 😊 I also enjoyed watching along side Carl Weathers in Action Jackson (HA! Action Jackson, another 80s gem that I have in my 80s collection😁) May she and Julius rest in peace!😇
I sent this out to people who understood the reference LAST Christmas, it wasn't many. Lol!😁 But that's okay, Sho isn't meant for everybody!😆
I think between The Last Dragon and Action Jackson, the Blaxploitation Era was coming to a slow halt...😉🙂 And then movies like Black Dynamite and Bones came along and kickstarted once again, or perhaps it was Tarantino that did it!😁
@SeriousSnuggler Lol! 😄 You can't forget JEM, it's OUTRAGEOUS for you to forget JEM! Truly,Truly, Truly OUTRAGEOUS!🤩
@SunsetSnuggles Too cool! 😎
I love all the classics, but my favorite is a sleeper: St. Elmos Fire. Great soundtrack and great coming of age story. Funny thing is:
it has practically the same cast as the Breakfast Club (and it was filmed within year of that movie) but the actors play early to mid 20s college graduates
the movie takes place in Georgetown University at times, but the scenes were actually filmed in the University of Maryland at College Park.
