@CharlieBear - lol. Somebody flagged that? really? Cosplaying is a big thing at anime conventions. It's nothing more than dressing up as their favorite character.
@JohnR1972 That looks like fun! Speaking of hippie fairs...I don't know if a Burning Man counts as a con, but I've heard great things about them and have had my eye on the Firefly Arts Collective in VT for a while. The only thing holding me back from going is COVID. 😭

I haven't been to one for many years. I used to always go to the London Comic Con every so often but the prices got stupid.
Pleased to have gotten a photo with Jason Momoa for the hilarious price of £30. Also met loads more like Peter Dinklage, Karl Urban, Lena Headey etc

@bekah_cuddles - good question. Burner events probably don’t officially count as cons because most cons and Hippie Fair / Hippie Fest are at their core, commercial ventures. Burning man prohibits commercial transaction. I’ve never been to burning man but I would love to go to one.
@Mike403 Oh yeah I don’t think there is any issue there. Another option is just type the name of the video (or whatever you like), highlight it, then use the link option to insert the link so it just displays as a hyperlink.

@CharlieBear - Some girls in anime shows tend to wear little clothing I noticed which would be considered sexualized by our standards. I don't know how Japanese culture works.
What I've been reading is that some cosplayers at conventions have to deal with frequent harassment. Some guys think it's okay to touch or take photos of them without their consent. It gets more disturbing the more I read about it.
I have been in awhile, but I enjoy tabletop rpgs like D&D, and sometimes scratch that itch at gaming conventions.
I’m actually going to Anime Washington in the morning. Super excited because it’s been forever since I’ve gotten to go do anything let alone go to a convention.
I’m going to Anime Milwaukee in March and C2E2 in Chicago in April. Got weekend passes for both events.
I have never been to any conventions , but I have looked them up on Youtube , watched various videos and also looked up cosplay people on Ko-Fi and other sites .
I was just laid off from my job of 26 years.
I still have the anime festival this weekend to look forward to.

My brother and I go to comic cons about 3 times a year it's a tradition just went to one in Lexington, KY. I met some celebs from Charmed and OG American Gladiators and looked at stuff. Quality time with my only brother. We always have fun
