I moved to California on the 28th, came alone and I don’t have any friend’s here. Would anyone have any advice for a lonely gentleman?
Not sure how far out in the boonies San Jacinto is thse days (I left SoCal in 2005), but Meetup.com is a great way to meet people who have similar interests.
It's an election year in the USA. Join both major political parties and help out with their campaigns. This will allow you to meet a wide range of people: you can choose which ones you like afterwards.

Perhaps. And only if you're able to separate people from their politics. If so, great. But that's not usually a two-way street.
