Unfortunately, there is not currently a filter for this on the search function, though it would be very helpful for those with allergies. @Mark
It is listed as a question on profiles, though some don't answer or are vague.

That is a good point. Going someplace where someone has a lot of pets might be tough if you have allergies, among other reasons.
IMHO, having a discussion about allergies, pets/children/others in the house, etc. should always be discussed before meeting at someone's house. It's just a practical standard vetting practice to have for safety and comfort reasons. And that is too complex of a subject to include in an easily filterable profile field. Far better to actually discuss it rather than to assume based off of limited information. 🤷🏻♀️
Edit to add: Making it a filterable field seems a bit pointless. It assumes that the person with pets will be hosting in the space where their pets are. Also, the pets field is write-in (so could include any text, including that they're allergic or things like exotic pets) and I believe more to use as a personality/life experience talking point than to determine allergy compatibility. If allergies are the problem, there's a lot of work around for otherwise compatible people (renting or borrowing a different space, using a pet-free room, meeting at the other person's place, etc.).
The discussion of allergies is often a larger topic than just pets, too. If we're going to make pets a filter for allergies, why not house plants? Fragrances? Detergents? Foods? The list gets exhaustively long. Again, it's something far better discussed in-depth and if it is an absolute deal breaker with no reasonable accomodations, place it in your profile so that potential partners can make informed decisions on compatibility.
@cuddlefaery I agree. If one has issues with pets, peanut allegeries, extreme sensitivity to fragrances or other things, it seems like something to bring up when you talk with someone or in one's profile.
If one tries to make an exhaustive list, meeting someone might start feeling like filling out paperwork for the doctor's office.
Most will have it in their profile toward the bottom of the list. Either way you'll just have to ask to make sure. I know you don't want any suprises.

My profile is VERY clear on pets & I have cuddled with so many clients with cat allergies. Never had any issues.
