Karaoke I feel is the best form of quality time with friends, family or even with a group of people you’re first just getting to know. My go-to would be “If I ain’t got you By Alicia Keys”. What’s your go-to?
I don't do karaoke, and the world is a better place because of it.
You're welcome.
@TxTom Hahahaha!
I don’t do Karaoke; but if I did it would be Living on a Prayer by Bon Jovi.
Mmm. Classic. @JET2024
Depending on the place I sing at and what crowd is there:
Country bar: my go to is Broken Wing from Martina McBride
Rock n roll: I’ll either do separate ways from journey or More than a feeling from Boston
Younger crowd: love on the Brain: Rihanna
Older crowd: I will always love you: Whitney Houston or rolling in the deep from Adele.
But one song I’m madly obsessed with singing that no one knows (I’ve been singing this song for about 3 years now in front of a lot of people all the time and only a small handful of people actually know this song), is Beautiful Goodbye from Amanda Marshall. But it’s hard singing a song no one knows cuz at times, they don’t clap at the end and it makes me sad 😅
For me karaoke is a spectator sport. However my cousin signed me up on my last cruise for a song she knew I couldn’t resist..
@biggirlcuddler ooo don’t leave us hanging! Which song??
My warm up song is "How Deep is Your Love" by the Bee Gees.
If it's someone's birthday or an event with a celebrant, then I'll do "My Way" by Frank Sinatra, but I'll replace "My" with the person's name. I did it _____'s way.
To get old people dancing, I do "Living La Vida Loca" by Ricky Martin.
My favorite duet with another guy is "To All the Girls I've Loved Before" by Julio Iglesias and Willie Nelson. I always call dibs on Julio's part.
My favorite duet with a female is "Summer Nights" by John Travolta and Olivia Newton John.
If I get drunk enough, I'll do "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" by the Tokens. At a certain point, the alcohol will either loosen me up for the falsetto, or I'll be too drunk to care if I hit those high notes correctly.
My closer is "We Didn't Start the Fire" by Billy Joel.
There are a few and I prefer rock, country, crooner, thug rap and jazz.
Heavy metal rock I can at times but it takes backup.
Forgot the best one due to all the atmospheric river rains..... Here Comes the Rain Again by the Eurythmics, Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart Worth My Time by MJB I'm Goin Down by MJB California and Me by Laufey feat. the Philharmonic Orchestra Stack of Records by Larry Fleet Lied About Love by Larry Fleet What Was I Made For by Billie Eilish for Barbie Soundtrack What's Up by 4 Non Blondes All Apologies By Sinead O'Connor When U Love Someone by Kid Rock Do 4 Love by Snoh Aalegra Nobody to Blame by Chris Stapleton Don't Need No Reason by Lee Brice What I Got by Sublime That B!tch by Bea Miller Digging My Grave by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper Look What I Found by Lady Gaga Cheek to Cheek with Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett
Sister Christian -- Night Ranger or Here Comes Your Man -- Pixies
Suspicious Minds or Burning Love. I like making people laugh at my Elvis moves.
I've been doing karaoke over 23 years since I lived in Los Angeles. I have over 1000 songs I sing/have sung, mainly because I tend to get bored doing the same ones over and over again. But having said that, there are some I do semi-regularly: Young Americans - Bowie Can't Fight This Feeling - REO Radio Gaga - Queen Wicked Game - Chris Isaak Midlife Crisis - Faith No More Time - Pink Floyd Later additions (recent songs) Sound of Silence - Disturbed Aerials - System of a Down Jesus of Suburbia - Green Day Wish I Knew You - Revivalists In Hell I'll Be in Good Company - Dead South Take on Me (Unplugged version) - A-ha S.O.B. - Nathaniel Ratecliff
