Keeping your hair is a huge win, you're still allowed your vanity and normalcy. @TeddyCuddle45 you've had a horrible losses the past few years but are still very kind. I second your wise advice, "keep your eyes on the prize"!
@happyhour well my whole life has been horrible lol but why let that be an excuse to make others miserable, life is too darn short, what we need in the the world is love, compassion, and understanding, I love making and seeing people happy. If I can make at least one person smile each day, well I'm happy with that.

My surgery is Wednesday morning. I’m due at the hospital at 530am. I will be spending the day tomorrow prepping. I will be going silent as of tonight. I need some time for myself. I will update if anything changes or as soon as I can. See you all soon.

I’ve been out of surgery for around 4 hours. I’m in pain but everything was successful.

Thanks all. It’s now the day after surgery and I’ve hit the following milestones, I’ve passed gas, I’ve urinated and I’ve gotten up and walked. I still have not had bowel movement which I have to have before they’ll release me. I’m still in pain, not as much as yesterday but everything is going as expected.

I am being released. All looks good. I spoke to the surgeon this morning who told me they removed a foot long section of my colon. I didn’t realize it was that big of a section. It’s to to go home, heal and wait on the pathology report.
