I have attended two Economic Outlook events in the past month, the most recent of which featured four economists sharing their predictions and rationale about 2025.
3 out of 4 were optimistic about job growth overall, especially in the manufacturing sector but they stressed the “hot jobs” will likely vary be geographic region (the Midwest / “rust belt”, where I live, has always been manufacturing centric).
Technology trends are heavily influencing the skills needed for many of the new jobs being created.
