Hi all! I’m normally a quiet person but this website has been a good way for me to slowly open up, so here I am properly!
I’m making this because I love seeing what others come up with, but it’s also because I’m quite proud of something I wrote earlier.
Could be poetry, stories, I just love seeing what people write! ❤️

The sun extends her hand. ☀️

A man, simple, living, but stuck. He finds he walks the same roads, seeing them get more dull over time.
“Grey sky…the dark buildings…it’s all…so muted.”
He wanders along, getting a coffee.
“Black and bland…” he whispers to himself. He looks at the expanse of buildings around him, all dull and grey.
But he sees something curious amidst the steel jungle, a quiet park. “Oh wow…green.”

He smiles faintly and plops into a swing, breathing in the moment before feeling a drop of rain on his nose, the clouds darken.
He sighs and continues to sip his coffee, unwilling to move.
“At least it’s nice here” he looks around and is nearly blinded.
A figure walks towards him, radiating light, still flawed in its own way, but bright and beautiful.
He can’t help but stare at the being, slowly making its way towards him.
“W-what are-“ he’s cut off by a calmly extended hand, the being wants to take him somewhere.

The man glances around, rain pouring, noisy cars speeding by, all grey.
and decides to accept this mysterious figure, slowly taking its hand.
He’s immediately pulled along, not forced, but gently tugged. The being stops in front of a sushi place, and the man briefly gasps.
“It’s so…wonderful…”
All sorts of colour flows through the building, reds, beautiful whites and more, even the dark colours felt full of warmth.
“W-why are you showing me this?” He whispers as the being whisks him off to their next location.
This was a longer journey, through alleys, crossing busy streets, and stopping on a bridge.

Boats of all kinds can be seen in the river below, the beautiful blue sea shining as the rain passes, revealing the sun.
“I’ve…never stopped to notice this…is that what you’re showing me?”
The figure nods, excited at his understanding. It gestures down the other side of the bridge, and walks alongside the man now, no longer pulling him along.
“Okay, what’s this, don’t get me wrong I love the water but you just showed this?”
They had went around the side of the bridge, a nice beach at their feet, people can be heard in the distance, enjoying themselves.

The figure points under the bridge, and slowly follows behind him.
“…wow…I…”
The walls surrounding him are covered in graffiti, words exploding off of the bridge in stunning mixtures of colour he had never seen.

“…there was always beauty…”
he whispers while sitting down, tears streaming down his cheeks.
“Why…how did I get so blind?” He shouts out, but he jumps lightly in surprise.
the figure is sitting there next to him, it puts an arm around him, and that drives the man over the edge.
“T-Thank you! I c-can’t even…” he sobs into her chest, the light surrounding the being had slowly faded, revealing a woman.
He lets out so much, staining her clothes with his tears, and she just sits there, quietly holding him.
As he finally looks up at her, she opens her mouth to say one thing, whispered with a warm smile. “Hi.”

This was inspired by my current partner, my wonderful sun. ❤️

I wrote this up in a 20 minute frenzy, so it’s not the best but it’s a good start.

Great story, glad you shared!
Honestly I thought this was going to be a post about Sharing cuddling experiences/stories - Good and bad and that could end up being treacherous but interesting and possibly locked.
This was a nice surprise
Anyway, I don’t have anything to add. I’m not a good storyteller, but hope someone else can contribute.
